Harry and Meghan. UK Visit.

Just been reading about H&M’s forthcoming proposed visit to the UK with their children, pertaining to the Invictus Games which are due to take place next year.

Apparently, it’s a private visit, and accommodation has been offered to them on a ‘Royal estate’, but no mention of where or if it’s been accepted.

Security issues not revealed, plus whether or not it involves meeting up with the King.

We shall wait and see how it all evolves.

I’d very happily stay at the Castle of May! Lucky them!

So would I but not it isn't very convenient for travel to Birmingham which is where the Invictus Games will be held next year. I'm assuming Harry will be meeting with people who will be organising them? I'd think Windsor would probably suit quite well and has plenty of security in situ.

If the Castle of Mey is the true lodging its only virtue is that it's as far away from London as possible. Maybe OK for a quite holiday, not for any kind of get-together family or business

If they’re up at the Castle of Mey how are they going to square all the necessary helicopter flights with their green credentials?

Charles may be holidaying in Scotland and be able to see his grandchildren in peace. I am sure Harry would love to be there, going out hunting, shooting and fishing, stalking, riding and walking. Her ladyship? Not so sure.

"Her ladyship " is not her correct title. Please pay attention to what matters most on GN

Mey, not May. Please use the correct name.

Harry gave up hinting when he met Meghan. smile

Hinting?
Hunting!!!!

MissAdventure Mon 22-Jun-26 13:23:48

Still, Catherine, princess of Wales is quite a crackshot at the deer, so it's said.

eazybee Mon 22-Jun-26 13:23:54

If I gave her her correct title I would be banned.

MissAdventure Mon 22-Jun-26 13:26:34

Her title is Meghan, or Mrs whatever Harry uses as his surname, surely?
Perhaps she's one of these so-called "modern" types, though, and kept her own name?

I don't know how they have the nerve to even think of coming here after all they have said.

Absolutely agree.

ruthiek Mon 22-Jun-26 14:08:32

Knitter43 totally agree , I can’t believe their nerve to swan in and expect to be treated well after the way they have behaved . Personally I wish Harry would come with his children and leave miss Markle behind

I am 'one of those modern types' aged 65...lots of women of my generation kept their own names on marriage.
Ms Markle changed her to Sussex, although claims to be a feminist.
A woman of many contradictions is Maghan Markle!

Why so much bile towards Megan?
Do you know her personally perchance or do you just believe all the bile that is printed by dubious rags?

Cossy Mon 22-Jun-26 14:24:33

Mey! Apologies!

I was being ironic. smile
I'd certainly keep my name if my intendeds name was Longbottom or something.
On the other hand, I'd take his name if mine was Longbottom.

This is very much Harry's fault - he was the one with his wife who decided to leave!!

Willow68 Mon 22-Jun-26 14:49:07

Without the royal family they are nothing, nobodies. They are desperate to visit and feel important, because without a visit they are no able to continue the charade of being important. The humanitarians eco worriers that have no humanity towards her father as he has no royal
Title, also they often fly on private jets while preaching to
Us to save the planet.
My confusion on how poor King Charles has not seen the children , yet he can travel and has traveled. The whole thing is ridiculous of course he could have seen the children. I’ve always loved having a royal family, since the queen has gone it’s fallen apart. Thank goodness we have Katherine !

MissAdventure Mon 22-Jun-26 14:49:21

When i read what some of people's adult "children" do on here, I don't consider Harry any worse, really.

merlotgran Mon 22-Jun-26 14:54:59

Harry gave up hinting when he met Meghan.

Do you mean shooting and stalking?
Hunting became illegal in 2005.
