I slept well last night awake at 8am. According to Alexa it is 17 and will rise to 22 this afternoon.
Have been out to the poly tunnel i picked another courgette they hide 🫣.

I had a lovely lunch meet up yesterday with some friends who all started our teaching careers 63 years ago this summer. I think the song is ‘We’re still Standing’😊, although hobbling might be more accurate!

Good morning from West Sussex. I know it is probably cooler here than inland but it’s pretty hot! You’re very wise to stay at home Mick.

Yesterday wasn’t too bad and I managed to do a bit of gentle gardening in the shade. I went to the allotment in the evening and watered the baby lettuce that DH planted earlier in the week. I then went to Sainsbury’s where it was deliciously cool and also quiet as the football was on. When I came out at 9.55pm the heat hit me - it reminded me of the year we were in Sweden and there was a heatwave and we spent most of one day in IKEA 😂.

RosesandLilac, that sounds like more hopeful news but still a long wait.

I am staying in the front rooms of the house which is west facing but my bedroom is also at the front which means it is unbearable by.

Two fans on last night and I hardly slept.
My friend has invited me to sit in her garden this afternoon in the shade of trees, I have said I will try one hour but will leave if I can’t cope.
