Although, he would have probably have hated me! I'm a very stubborn opinionated, catty woman & we would have most likely have clashed horribly. 😶

As with all well known artists (or masters as they are sometimes called), Warhol broke down a barrier and introduced a new and exciting (at the time) way of seeing. As has already been said, celebrities were seen as products just as were the soup cans. Now they can look dated and simplistic. They do have a significant place in the history of painting.

I remember them at the time they appeared and never found them exciting.
Whereas I love the lobster telephone!

Overrated garbage! I saw Van Goughs sunflowers in Amsterdam, I think I could have done that!

The thing about Van Gogh though is that if you see one of his lesser known works ( and some of them are beautiful, especially his use of colour) you know straight away that it’s his work.
