Good morning, Michael and all GNs from South Yorkshire where it is slightly cooler again. We had rain last night, for which much thanks, but it wasn’t really enough.

School yesterday was chaotic. The library was like a jumble sale when I got there as the infant school’s Yr2 had been visiting for an induction day and had been instructed to dump their belongings on the floor. The table I use was covered in cups of orange squash. They eventually departed at ten past one which meant I lost half an hour of what is a very busy session and wasn’t able to finish my list. Sports day on Friday which means I shalln’t be needed at all, so an extra day off this week! My long distance friend and I had a hilarious couple of hours on the phone in the evening. Her tales of her GD’s have me in stitches.

Writer’s group at the library this afternoon. I will do some shopping while at the mall.

Have a Very Happy Birthday, Bellasnanna. 🎉🥂🎂 Good to have you back.

Have the best day you can, folks!

Great meet-up in Market Harborough yesterday, here we all are!!

Good morning all and how lovely to see Madeleine and especially Bellasnana who had been upset by unkind posters.
Happy birthday Bella you deserve a special day 🥳.

Yesterday was cool so I got much needed housework done , walked up to town to be picked up by friends for Bridge Club.

I had a letter from the DVLA . 3 months since my appeal but I still don’t meet their requirements for driving 😢. I’ll enquire about laser/stent or anything else that might allow me to get my licence back.

I have some lovely friends who are always ready to give me lifts but I do like to be independent and get busses or a cab if the journey is tricky.

Today I have a pedicure booked and then a dry cut . My hair is thick and I want a shorter cut with some layering. I’ll probably regret it but my hair dies grow very quickly,

Well done Karmas gs. 🥇.
Sorry to hear about your DH’s faux pas Marydoll. I have to be behind my Dh all the time to make sure he’s doing the right thing. Very waring at times. 🫣.

Hope you’re feeling better GG. Take it easy. 📖.
Enjoy your lunch Liberty.
Take care all 🌺

👋🏻 Hello Bellasnana nice to see you back here. Hope your grandson gets better soon. x

GrannySomerset Wed 01-Jul-26 09:25:07

Glad to see Bella back with us; just don’t understand how anyone can be unkind and am glad she is recovering. Thoughts as always to Marydoll who has more to try her than anyone should have to cope with.

Like others, I am relieved that the temperature is more reasonable but already dreading the incoming heat next week as I don’t cope well with it these days. Meanwhile I have a trip to the optician and possible the supermarket if I have the energy, having done all the washing and putting away.

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. My garden girl is busy mowing the vast lawn. She's very keen on leaving areas uncut - for the bees - and now it's almost too much "meadow" lots of orchids though.

Happy birthday. Bellasnanna I hope you are celebrating in style. 🎂🎊🥂🍾❤️

My friend's DD had a baby girl last night which is v exciting. Her DD and mine were school friends.

I'm still suffering with awful back pain and dosing up on tramadol just to function. 😟

Marydoll you'll have to hide your DH medicines. It is funny but it isn't really. 😯
I hope you can run away for a while even if it's to a friend for coffee.

Malaga sounds fab FGT.

Well done your DGS very proud gran Karma

Good news for you R&L at long last.

I hope your antibiotics work soon. GrannyGravy

Good morning Mick and everyone.
So pleased to see Bellasnanna is back.
I wish you a very happy 70th birthday. And many happy and healthy returns of the day. wine flowers
Good news of progress for RosesandLilac. Wishing the best for you. flowers
I was in the garden early this morning as it had rained overnight.
I had a new rose to plant and the conditions were perfect. The rose is a gift from my late son's Godmother in memory of him for his July birthday.
I chose the rose last week when I visited the David Austin rose gardens.
It's called Blue for You.
I'd better get back to the garden as I want to do some weeding and it's looking like rain is on the way.

Happy birthday Bella and so pleased to see you back.♥️

I've decided to spend the morning in bed, I am feeling rather rough. I cannot wait to see my R.A consultant.
However, I have had a snooze and do feel slightly better.

Ash, my consultant wrote to my reluctant GP, insisting, that taking eight paracetamol daily, to top up my painkiller patch, was part part of my medication regime.
It was immediately put on repeat.
Is it worth your consultant formally requesting it for you?
Research has shown that paracetamol is very effective, as a second line painkiller.

*R&L, ♥️

Sainsbury’s delivery put away so I can rest.
Gagagran, it’s two weeks since my fall, I know just what you mean!
Well done to your dgs, Karma
Melanie61, we look after our dd’s two sausages Monday to Wednesday in term time. They do bark but also sleep a lot.
Marydoll 💐.
Madeleine, my fb has been showing me pictures of your area. It’s many years since we were there, it was a popular Sunday out for us.
Enjoy your holidays those venturing forth.
🎂 Bella.
Glad to say I’m feeling less miserable today 😀

Good Morning from a very dull Co Armagh, we are due rain , but not till the afternoon
My sister called to ask about my weekend away , then proceeded to barely listen to my entertaining description of my happenings of lost stick , broken rolator etc
Yes she did roll her eyes , I guess I’m not the raconteur I think I am 🤣
Nice to see Madeleine back posting
Today I must see if I can find the iron , I took the washing in in a hurry and some things need flattening 🙄
Here’s wishing for a good day with no disasters

Good morning from Stockport, overcast but still warm and we had steady rain last evening which I am sure the garden welcomed.
Happy Birthday Bella enjoy every minute.

My Wednesday friend has rung to say she has a dental abscess so will not be coming today.
I was supposed to visit her, she is getting very forgetful and confused.
Since her H died 4 years ago her AC have taken over her thinking and doing, they have done her no favours at all.
She does not take much responsibility for herself, I cannot say anything, it is not my place and her C are beyond reproach in her eyes.

I must get going continuing my bedroom clear out, I am moving into another room when my GD leaves for her own home and feel quite excited, a change is as good as a rest.
Their Solicitor is getting frustrated by the Vendor’s Solicitor who hasn’t done much now for over three weeks in spite of many “nudges” they should have been further on by now.
However everything comes to he who waits I believe is a popular saying.

I shall be watching England tonight, please please please it doesn’t go to a penalty shoot out, I can’t watch them.

Keep hydrated everyone.
