I had à generic text sent by the school, to say that if anyone's child had brung home the wrong jumper, please could they fetch it into the office.

These appeared on a FB site that auctions donations to fund help for people in need.

A newly qualified medical secretary (back in the day, using audio tapes for hospital clinical letters) was doing an orthopaedic clinic.

She typed “the patient was fitted with a Baloney dressing”

I checked her work over before her letters got sent over to the clinician for signature.

It was meant to be a “below knee” dressing!

I am not going to get the picture out of my head now of the cattle wondering around the field. What were they thinking?

Cattle wondering round the field.

There is (or was) an ice cream manufacturer somewhere in the West Country whose posters for their products were accompanied by text that described their happy cattle 'wondering' around the fields.

The poster was on the wall in a cafe near where I live, and every time I looked at it I couldn't help wandering wondering if I was the only person who ever noticed things like that. Now I know that I'm not.

Our local food bank was advertised in the parish magazine as "Hungary No More"

A few years ago now a council sign was erected directing coastal path walkers to Mavagissey ( it should be Mevagissey for those not familiar with the Cornish town)

Maybe it was to do with Cornish pronunciation!
