Yesterday my daughter and daughter-in-law were busy grumbling about how slow their first house purchase is taking and wishing it would speed up as they signed their contract 5 weeks ago.

Today my sweet DiL, who’s carry DD baby went into spontaneous labour and after waters broke and baby was upside down with umbilical cord separating, she had an emergency C section and then at 13:00 baby Henry was born at 24.9 weeks, weighing 1lb 6oz.

We are all hoping for a good outcome in the end, please pray to whatever God or spiritual being or keep your fingers crossed that baby Henry comes through this.

DD and DiL in shock and baby about to be transferred to a Neonatal Unit in a hospital nearly 40 miles away. This is their first baby and first try at IVF. He’s so tiny (I couldn’t see him but DD sent photos) 😢

Fabulous news, cossy, thank you for taking the time to update us.

When he's old enough you will be able to tell him all about the team of grans willing him on. In fact it was probably our positive thinking that made the difference. gringrin

I'm thinking about getting a handheld garment steamer for shirts, dresses and everyday clothes, instead of dragging out the iron every time.

The one that keeps coming up is this one:
www.amazon.com/dp/B07V91437Y?tag=gransnetforum-21
Conair Turbo ExtremeSteam Handheld Garment Steamer

If you own one, does it actually remove deep wrinkles, or just light ones? How is it on delicate fabrics — does the spacer protect silk and trims? And does it ever spit water or leak while you're steaming?

Also, how long does one tank last in real use, and is it heavy to hold for a full load of clothes?

Any real drawbacks, or a better handheld steamer you'd recommend instead?

When my boy reached this weight a lovely wee woman on the anti natal ward knitted him a tiny yellow cardigan.
Of course we put it on him ,the consultant was really amused that such a wee cardigans was possible.
We still have it,along with the smallest socks we could buy that were thigh high on him.
Happy memory in a tough time, you,ll find them when you least expect it.Delighted Henry is doing so well, might be home for Christmas!

Thst's lovely paddyann
I remember years ago our craft group knitted tiny hats (no seams) for babies in the NICU at Bath.
