Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark with signs of rain this morning in Brackley.
Up to usual with a early bus to Bicester ,after breakfast go for a coffee and maybe a bacon sarnie before I shop and maybe say hello to those I know.
Return home maybe have a beer in local pub before lunch and watching the tour of Spain cycle race unfold on TV.
Health OK ,
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning from Wiltshire.

I had the wretched tooth extracted yesterday and it wasn’t quite as bad as I’d anticipated. The dentist cheerfully told me I probably wouldn’t have survived in medieval times. But I still think there is infection as my face is still swollen and feels scalded and inside my mouth is too, as the gum around the tooth had started to breakdown due to it. It only took a couple of days! I’ve got 5 amoxicillin left to take.

My thoughts were with you GrandMattie on what must be a very difficult anniversary for you.

Your trip to the garden centre sounded awful Grandmabatty. I nearly always use contactless for debit payments. I’ve no idea what my credit card pin is as I do nearly everything online but I do have Apple wallet as well. I hope you are not too sore after your fall and you are not too shaken up. May the shoes you purchased all be good. I have bunions caused by teetering around in high heels in my 20’s and 30’s at work, so comfort comes first these days too.

What splendid nail art Bellasnana.

I’m glad your DH is feeling a bit better after starting antibiotics and that his tooth can be saved, Gingster.

Have a good Saturday everyone.

Good morning from Stockport.
I haven’t looked out yet so can’t report on the weather but when I went to bed it was raining which was a surprise after a sunny dry evening.
My meal out was good but I am finding eating out at night , not late I may say are not really suiting me.
I had a steak, I brought at least a third of it home for my cat and half of my Tiramisu which was delicious but far too big.
Age is definitely catching up with me, my friend who is only 84 , can eat three courses without a problem.

Nothing on the cards for today which suits me so I wish you all a pleasant day.

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s a bright sunny start to the day
Gorgeous photokitty
Pleased that ordeal is now over with glammagran
There’s one of the open days at the Highland Archive centre today so we’re going go go in and have a browse around. I think there’s an exhibition of old photos etc that might be interesting. It’s right by the River Ness so we’ll probably have a walk along there afterwards too and then have a coffee somewhere. Last night there was live music at the castle so we enjoyed an hour listening to that.
Hope ever has the best day they can, take care all 💐

Good morning from sunny Leicestershire.

I missed the sunrise this morning kitty!
Today we are going out for coffee and petrol. We have a plug-in hybrid and usually drive on the battery but going south it switched over to petrol.

Your girl sounds just like mine FGT. My DS with children is the opposite.

Wishing everyone the best day possible.

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. Sunny here.

I've been too busy to post recently but I do try to read your doings.
GMB flowers

A long lost cousin is coming to stay overnight and will probably want to talk family history since she's been visiting ancestors' birth and death places in the north of Scotland.

I've just waved good bye to my friend who's been staying for the past week.
Open studios are happening here this weekend too.

I've not had time yet to read and sign the legal paperwork - an inch thick - for the house I'm buying.

Wishing us all a very happy & pain free weekend whatever we are doing.

Good morning from a beautifully sunny Suffolk where DH is still in bed and I’m just up. DH has had a couple of days where he has felt more tired than usual and yesterday I suddenly felt weary in the afternoon but perked up later.

Now having woken an hour later than usual,I think we both must have picked up a bug ……nothing serious and we can just go with the flow and enjoy a leisurely walk in the sun with the little dog later.

Just 1 DGC now to go back to school on Monday. The others seem to be very pleased to see their friends again and for some, the work has to be tolerated for the social benefits!

Hope all have a good day.

Good morning all . Sunny with a little breeze here in Essex. Due to get warmer today and tomorrow.

Dh was doing well with his infected mouth until after tea last evening, when the pain suddenly returned. The nurse from the dental practice had phoned not long before to enquire about how he was doing. Such great service from this private practice. I know we pay but they seem to have gone out of their way to help.
Hopefully he’ll feel better today.

I feel so sorry for you Madeleine after two lots of antibiotics, it should be clearing up. Hopefully you’ll get some help today 🙏.

Not much on this weekend so I’ll get some jobs done and start my new book. Read the papers and tend to my patient.

Take care all 🌻

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 12° and bright. Glammagran I hope your mouth settles soon. Madeleine I hope you can be seen by the on call doctor.
Thank you to everyone who commented on my garden centre mishaps. The Google wallet worked, so I have petrol and dd put money in an envelope through my door so I have cash. I have no bruises from dancing with the floor of the garden centre.
Yesterday I got petrol then came home to change for the funeral. Just as I arrived at the crematorium, the heavens opened. I always arrive early, so I sat in the car for a while. The service was good-my friend wrote her mum's eulogy and it was warm and personal. I met up with a number of former colleagues too. Afterwards we sat together at the restaurant and drank copious amounts of tea and chatted. Later in the afternoon, I had a doctor's appointment. She agreed with me that it sounded like my gallbladder and poked me about quite a bit. The upshot is, I am booked in for a scan and I have to have bloods done. I've been researching what to eat and it doesn't fill me with joy. Because the pain is there all the time, leaving something out isnt working, although I thank jaxjacky for adding tomatoes to my list! After the appointment I visited dd, dsil and the boys to keep them up to date and had a cuppa.
Im up late today because the pain had me up in the night for a few hours. At least it stops me focusing on the pain in my feet! I suspect the prodding from the doctor didnt help. Today is my housework and washing day. I will sally forth to Aldi for food too. Have a good day all.

Good Morning from a glorious, blue sky Durham. A bit windy though.
Dinner with the DDs was good last night, although I’m out of touch with prices.
Belated birthday gifts were swapped.

I’ve a hair appointment today, which I’d forgotten about, so plans have changed and DD2 will bring DGS2 here to help me ‘do jobs’ when I get home.

Best wishes to all. X

Good morning from Sunnyside Sandhills northwest coast.
Not much to report, workmen put the finishing touches to the new porch yesterday, which I dislike, but often find it’s just the change from what I’m used to is what I dislike.

I carried on with getting ready for Greece on Tuesday with the family and even put some slow working tan on my arms and legs. It’s going to be hot there. I had a FaceTime with flying DD in Miami, who was in the middle of a thunderstorm.
Drew some flowers in pastel, practised new songs and that was it.

I might to to my artist friend’s gig tonight, or I might not…
Thoughts to Madeleine Glammagran and all🌺

Good morning, Michael12 and all!

My boss asked me to rearrange my shifts again. I should have been off yesterday but was on, so I'm off today instead. I really don't mind at all having shifts altered; I'll do whichever ones she wants me to.

So today, I'm just bumming around, off to Morrisons for milk, cucumbers, a huge box of PG Tips, and a pack of saccharin for my tea, as I don't have sugar, drop them off at home, then I'll sit on the Promenade for a while, scoffing grapes and guzzling orange juice!

I feel extremely tired and exhausted today, barely keeping my peepers open, so I'll just take things easy.

I'll have a kip later with a glass of Baileys, then I'll binge-watch something on YouTube!

Have a good one, everyone!

Good morning all , it’s a lovely autumnal start to the day here in Co Armagh
I still have half a dozen big tomato plants in my living room , the new greenhouse is due any day I’m told , I’m next on the list
I have to keep the doors open , just as well it’s stilll mild

Hopefully a good day for all

glammagran Sat 05-Sept-26 10:08:13

Gingster your poor DH. I found the best painkiller this week to be Nuromol which you can easily buy in a supermarket. In March I was prescribed codeine for my painful hip. A month later I pivoted on my leg which hurt so took 2. They did absolutely nothing. I took another 2 earlier in the week and the same. At least I know that codeine doesn’t work at all. Didn’t even make me drowsy.

Madeleine I hope you have managed to deal with the GP Reception dragons and have got more medication.

Blossoming Sat 05-Sept-26 11:45:53

Good morning everyone from sunny Lancashire. I’m feeling sad today as my lovely niece is getting married and I’m not well enough to be there.

MrB and I have had an enjoyable walk and spotted this lovely rainbow over the woodland path.

Wishing you all a good day whatever you’re doing. 🌹

Jaxjacky Sat 05-Sept-26 11:48:30

What a shame Blossoming hopefully you’ll see video. Are the steam trains running again yet?

Grandmabatty Sat 05-Sept-26 11:51:50

Blossoming that's bitter sweet for you. I'm sure you will see the video and photos but I appreciate you want to be there.
I had another bout of intense pain, so gave up on going shopping and ordered a quick delivery of the essentials instead. Im back in bed, hoping for a sleep

dragonfly46 Sat 05-Sept-26 12:23:03

Grandmabatty I hope you feel better soon!

Jaxjacky Sat 05-Sept-26 12:31:08

If this persists Grandmabatty, spreads to your back or generally makes you feel much worse it’s time to ring for help, seriously.

Blossoming Sat 05-Sept-26 13:31:14

Thanks Grandmabatty and Jaxjacky. I’m very happy for my niece and her man, they’ve been together since schooldays. My niece has MS and doesn’t let it hold her back. Trains are running today Jaxjacky and it’s my favourite little ex Dock train. Grandmabatty hope you feel better soon and I agree with Jax, don’t ignore that pain.
