Mince pies spotted in Co-op!

When I worked in a warehouse September we had Xmas stuff and Easter eggs 🥚

They have permanent Hot Cross buns in our Tesco, and there were no mince pies of any sort left, on the Christmas shelves

Seen last week too in M&S, I was tempted.

Saw some in Sainsbury last Thursday.

No, no, no, NO!

I adore Christmas, but in our house Christmas starts on 1st December, not before and certainly not in September!

Hot Cross Buns all year I can live with 🤣😂🤣

It's very early but I do love mince pies.

Yes, my OH loves them too!

Saw Christmas puds in M&S today.

I'm OK with Hot Cross Buns all year, just wish they'd leave the cross off and call them spiced fruity buns.

Don’t shout but I bought my first jar of mincemeat today! And even worse, mince pie making is on my ‘to do’ list for tomorrow. Oops!
In my defence, I make them for all the family and ex-work colleagues and they have been voted the best ever (fact, not bragging!!) so I make more and more each year by demand.
Makes me laugh every year as the person I originally begged the recipe from refused to give it to me so I had to watch her from a distance and secretly write it down. Very mean-minded and actually, perfected over the years, mine are far better than hers ever were!
Too tiring to make hundreds in one go so I start early and do a dozen here and there from back to school week onwards.
Thank heavens for trusty freezers.

We ate our first mince pie in mid-August while on holiday in Norfolk.

Yum yum. Co-op ones are especially scrumptious.

Yes, why don't they do that?

My daughter has just admitted that she bought and ate Christmas cake today!

I love mince pies.
They're worth the heartburn
Co-op ones are very nice!

There were mince pies of many kinds on Sainsburys website last week, plus Christmas cake, ecclefechan (sp?) tarts, panettone and Christmas puddings. Consumers must be falling for it or the shops wouldn't bother, would they? Humans are such fools....

you know this El Nino guy they're talking about....well maybe just buy some mince pies ...just in case.

Ecclefechan tarts sound delicious.
I'd never heard of them, must investigate.

For some reason I read this as peppermint hot cross buns and was thinking of giving them a try…

Oh yes I’m panic buying tomorrow!

Yep - they have them in Morrisons too and the local garden centre have their Christmas ornaments out alongside Halloween!

We've just bought two packs of mince pies from Sainsburys. I love 'em.

Friends living in Yorkshire have reported it's mince pie season. Better start this year's taste testing!

I always say Christmas starts on my birthday - which is later this week....

and my local Morrisons today!

Saw some in M&S today right next to Halloween goodies!
