Good Morning Everyone,
Its twilight and should be light in about half an hour hear in Brackley but still quite chilly out .
Todays plans a double dose of sport on TV with London Marathon first , followed by a cycling in the Belgian Ardennes .
Health wise have been having a few bad days due to the chilly weather effecting me when out walking.
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 6° and cloudy but brightening up. I couldn't get on gransnet until now.
Yesterday I achieved everything I set out to. Lots of housework and ironing done.
Today I'm meeting a friend and her daughter for breakfast at the local garden centre. Then I need to buy some birthday cards. Afterwards, I plan to do some weeding. Beef olives for dinner. Have a good day all.

Good morning from a bright S E Essex.

Today I really must go and sort out DD’s birthday gifts, I have been putting it off for the last week, as I am unsure what to get 🤷‍♀️

Enjoy your Sunday, however you are spending it 🙋‍♀️

Good morning, I’m glad I can actually get on here!
Bright sunshine here again, it’s a beautiful morning.
I spent most of yesterday in my Shed, I finished one embroidery and today I will start a new one.
I did clean the Shed windows, and the kitchen ones too, got the washing dried and put away.
I will roast a chicken for dinner, new potatoes, green beans, I will have a salad with mine. I think there’s a cheesecake somewhere in the freezer so I will get that out too.
Best wishes to everyone 🌹

Good Morning all from another sunny day on the central south coast. Couldn't log on here again and just tried it and saw Mick managed it, so I followed suit.

Laundry day today for us and still busy catching up with family matters.

My nephew arrived on the Isle of Man from Australia to see his dad in hospital, yesterday. His slow recovery is ongoing but seeing his personable and positive second son will give my brother a real boost. He brings such joy into the room with a hard to resist lovely smile. He has always been a real ray of sunshine!

Thinking of all our GNs with burdens and struggles and hoping for an easier day for all. sunshine

Good morning everyone from mid Essex. It’s 8 degrees and broken cloud out. I couldn’t get on Gransnet until now! Yesterday was lovely once the fog had cleared. There was very little wind so it was warm out. DD2 came over in the afternoon while both her daughters were at birthday parties. She did an hour’s gardening for me, I think we’re beginning to make progress with it! We’ ve had no rain for some time so the ground is quite dry now.

I’ll try to do more in the coming week,

Thinking of all those who are struggling with health and other issues at the moment.

Have as good a day as possible everyone.

Good morning from Wiltshire. Another rubbish night of sleep.
I see Gransnet was unavailable again earlier like yesterday.

DD2 and family had a problem free journey to Antalya, Turkey with flight on time. Their resort has a water park and lots to do for kids.

Went to the rhododendron woods at Bowood for a walk again. It changes every week. Some look as large as oak trees.

Today DS and his family are coming for lunch with their lovely goldendoodle. She is the most obedient animal I’ve ever encountered. You could leave a coffee table covered in food and she would not go near it. Where they walk on Greenham Common there is a place with many nesting adders and she would not go near them having been told not to once. We will have the lamb racks which have been in a freezer since Christmas.

Have a good day everyone.

FriedGreenTomatoes2 Sun 26-Apr-26 07:28:58

Another beautiful sunny morning herein south Manchester. Good morning everyone.

This site has been a bit glitchy for the past hour 🤷‍♀️

I’m going to ask L’il Miss if she’d like to come and play here this morning. She came yesterday morning too but that’s when we hit the (cheap) shops in the square. My purse is safe on Sundays as shops don’t open till 11am!

This afternoon I shall get the bus over to see my stepfather who is 93. We will raise a glass of malt to his brother who died last weekend at the grand old age of 100 years.

Good morning everyone from Inverness, it’s a bit cloudy this morning but the forecast is lovely
I didn’t post yesterday as I couldn’t get on here, I guess a lot of our regular posters are having similar problems this morning
This morning I’ve my usual video call with DS then I’m hoping to get some gardening done. Later DD2 and family are calling round so I’m looking forward to seeing them and catching up on all their news.
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

Good morning from a chilly but bright Essex coast.
This afternoon we have a big 'do' at the club. We have been preparing for it for the last couple of weeks.
Lots of sorting, tidying and clearing.
We have mountains of food so are hoping lots of people turn up.
Enjoy Sunday everyone and let's hope the sun shines for us all xx

Good morning from Shropshire.A cooler start today and won’t be as sunny as the last few days.

Yesterday’s visit to mum went well.As she was managing to sit up my daughters decided we should take her out for some fresh air.The nurses got her ready and into a wheelchair and we walked into the village.Tnere was a street market but every time we stopped to look at something mum said keep going Susan don’t stop.We went back to the home and sat in the garden. My younger daughter had bought a non alcoholic beer at the market and gave mum a couple of sips🙈She really enjoyed it!I don’t remember her drinking beer before🙈She enjoyed the sun on her face but was exhausted afterwards.

In the evening DH and I went to Bronwen Lewis’s concert. It was a brilliant show. She is so funny and has an amazing voice singing in both Welsh and English.

Today will be a quiet one.I was woken at 3 with low blood sugar and had to satay awake for an hour until my it went back to normal so a long day yesterday and a disturbed night mean I am not feeling my best!

Thinking of all with worries and wishing everyone the best day possible🦩🌷

Good morning from a dull East coast there was an early sea mist but it’s gone so hopefully the sun will come out.

Yesterday was a lovely day. We sat outside with the DC and DGC. The GDs got out the water pistols and soaked each other. GS got out the large bubble ring and was mesmerised by the huge bubble. DH had cut the grass earlier and I cut old dead twigs off the Acers and hydrangeas.
We are ready to close the house this morning, we are all packed and leaving for Gatwick. We have a hotel for the night in Crawley I think.

My best friends funeral is the day we get home from China. With the best will in the world we will never make it back as it’s at lunchtime. We will stop at services and watch the live stream from our car. We will probably need a sleep stop on the drive home too.

Wishing virtual friends a lovely Sunday with sunshine and moments of joy🌼

Good morning from dry and sunny s somerset

A chilled and lovely day yesterday, I did order a couple of items to help with life going forward, one will enable me to stand while trimming all my ground cover in september. The other will bring me shade on my patio, withstand the wind and will tilt to shade my kitchen or living room or me on my outdoor recliner. My savings are for making life easier after all

Today, I will be cycling to the allotment, I want to water my young asparagus plants and I simply want to enjoy my lovely plot and the sounds of nature

There will be much sitting outside today, eating outside and reading

Bellasnana Sun 26-Apr-26 07:36:58

Good morning from Malta where it is to be a sunny day with a high of 25°C.

I also had trouble logging on today.

Yesterday I had the boys early on as both were asking to come to Nana’s. Bless them, if they only knew how much joy they bring.

We had a lot of laughs before DD3 picked them up and whisked them off to their next activity!

I cleared the chaos and got two loads of laundry dried outside, dusted and did the floors. I do love a clean home with things in order.

Watched tennis a bit and will probably watch some more today.

Mass this morning and a walk to the village to stretch my legs and visit the ATM.

Wishing you all a good day.☀️

Good morning all from a misty North Leicestershire.

This morning we are going to watch DGS4's football team win the league (hopefully) and then home for a roast.

Yesterday I made some gf bread which was really lovely - result. We also rearranged the garden furniture and decided to jettison some and replace it.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Good morning from slightly cloudy South Lanarkshire.

Our birthday GD was so excited yesterday, it’s lovely to watch the little ones enjoying themselves.

Today we have Sunday cafe after Mass so I’ll be helping with that.

I’ve a couple of things to collect from M&S and perhaps also have a look in TKMaxx while I’m there.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Jaxjacky Sun 26-Apr-26 07:44:28

Morning all, high cloud in S Hants, the ground is very dry here too Redcar with no rain in the immediate forecast.
Yesterday dinner was prepped early and a curry for today, both our football teams are in the FA cup this weekend, mine lost yesterday.
Have a pleasant day.

Good morning from Cambridgeshire where it is cloudy but should reach around 18 degrees later.

I had a lovely day yesterday shopping and lunch out at Rushton Lakes with DD2. Several purchases were made for our forthcoming holiday.

Today will be a quiet one pottering at home, the bed needs changing and a trip to the farm shop for a chicken to roast later. We haven’t got the BBQ out yet this year but maybe for the BH next weekend it will emerge!

Wishing everyone a happy Sunday with something to smile about 🌷

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from South Yorkshire where the sky is a flat expanse of grey. Yesterday I was working outside most of the day and it was too hot for me. I divided two of my hostas but couldn’t get the others out of the pots - it’s going to be a two man job. It was also a heavier job than I had anticipated. I had a rest and then cut the front lawn. Last time GS cut the lawn for me he said he thought the lawnmower was making a strange whining noise (I told him it was probably me!). I couldn’t hear it, but I certainly could yesterday. It’s old, and I think it’s time for a new one so I’ll replace it with a cordless.

DS rang for a chat mid afternoon - they are going away to Scotland today for ten days in their motorhome exploring the West coast. I told him I expected to be bombarded with photos (I usually am anyway!).

The first goldfinches paid my garden their annual visit yesterday evening, munching seed heads from some weed or other (there are plenty to go at!). It was such a joy to see them.

Today I am going to have a quiet day. Some baking maybe, but very little else. I may go for a walk.

Hope your health I proves Mick. Take it easy.

Have the best day you can, folks.

grandMattie Sun 26-Apr-26 07:47:08

Good morning from a cloudless Bristol.
I was unable to get in this morning again, until now. No idea why. I haven’t read any posts yet. After brekkie…
I’m feeling a bit meh, I had my covid jab yesterday; my arm hurts and it has provoked an attack of gout, which rather displeases me!
Yesterday was incredibly busy; the clothes swap went ok. It’s a good place to observe people’s behaviour, isn’t it?
I’m going to be kind to myself today.
Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Morning all from a sunny West Oxfordshire.

It is my birthday today and I am 73! My parents only made it to 48 and 67 so I feel positively ancient. I’ve had some lovely presents already including fizz, chocolates and a Greek head vase. OH has bought me a beautiful watch which I’ll open when I get up. We’re going out for lunch to the same restaurant where I had my 70th.

Have a good day everyone. Things often feel better with blue sky and sun.

Ashcombe Sun 26-Apr-26 07:49:39

Good morning from an overcast but dry Torbay. Yesterday was lovely but I wasn’t home when Gransnet finally woke up!

Yesterday afternoon DH and I were on Front of House duty at our theatre for the matinée performance of Speaking of Murder, with him as Manager and me as a steward. His duties are onerous, involving unlocking the five entrances - all old doors with stiff locks and bolts since it was originally a church. He is also responsible for the safety of the audience and dealing with any problems. I had the easy tasks of selling programmes, checking tickets and guiding people to our various facilities (bar, coffee shop, loos!) besides helping to sell ice creams in the interval.

A blessed Sunday to you all! 🦩🥰✝️💐🦩

Good morning from a brightening Black Country, where it was such a hot day yesterday!

Off to the caravan in Somerset this morning, see how it has fared over Winter storage. Back home Wednesday.

Wishing you all the best day possible
