Do you ever lose the plot?

My other half and I are staying at a rather nice country hotel for a few days. This morning at breakfast I went to get myself some fruit salad and on my return to the table proceeded to sit down on the chair whilst saying: 'This fruit salad looks delicious'. However, I sat at the wrong table and a rather nice gent said to me: 'Sorry, love, your are at the wrong table but you are very welcome to stay'. Oh, dear, did I feel silly. My other half and the gent were laughing.

Me too. I’m always talking to strange men instead of my DH!

My son took me to a nursery last week en and I picked up some plants to put in the trolley. I said oo they’re pretty, where did you find them. No reply and when I looked up there stood another chap, with a bemused look on his face. My son was further up and stood there grinning.

I once nipped into a Tesco convenience sore while my friend filled up with petrol and came out , got in the car, turned to speak to the driver to face a bemused man who was waiting for his wife.
The best however was told, maybe on here , about a woman who came out of a supermarket with her bags, put them in the boot and then got into the passenger seat when she realised she had driven herself there.
As there were people out who had seen this she got out looking annoyed and said if he thinks I’m waiting any longer he can think again and get the bus home.
She then got into the driving seat and drove off.

I’ve told this story before on here, but here goes: one night I filled a hot water bottle and put it outside on the doorstep. It was only as I was putting the milk bottles in the bed that I realised what I’d done.

I was only about 30 at the time, so can’t blame old age.

I have done that - got in the passenger seat instead of the driver's. You feel pretty silly!

When living in the Netherlands I once wheeled my bike into the supermarket and wondered why everyone was looking at me!
