Good morning from a dry Bristol. We have “light cloud” which makes it rather gloomy.
Lovely to see you again, taichinan, stay around…
I spent yesterday chuckling every time I thought of DS and his”kilo of cinnamon” that he bringing back! It also caused much hilarity with those I shared it with.
Yesterday was fairly standard and not very interesting - although it was gratifying to seethe number of ladies still wanting to com3 to our not-WI. Tbh, nothing much has changed for them except for the name. For the committee, we have the whole (same) subs.
Today, I’m seeing the diabetic nurse. I’m so terribly tired and wonder whether taking the tablets (which I’m not atm) would help. Otherwise, I’m just baking for tomorrow and might go to town for some fabric to back another quilt. I made too many squares and have enough for another nearly identical one to give away.
Hugs to those struggling and trust you will all have a nugget of pleasure in your lives today.

Good early morning from Sheffield

I had a lovely time yesterday at my friends 90th birthday lunch.
We had a good laugh and the food was great. The only problem was that there were a few flies annoying us. You know the ones that won’t go away and keep landing on you or your food. The pub we went to is in a rural area so could understand why they were flying around but it did spoil it a bit.
I’m out again today. I’m meeting my sister at the local Boundry Outlet. We will have a mooch about and a coffee. I dare say I shall purchase.

Happy belated birthday to dragonfly
Take care everyone flowers

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 11° and looks like rain. GrandMattie diabetes can make you feel tired.
Yesterday the boys had a long lie for them. I dropped them off at school/nursery and headed home to tidy up. An early nap after my early start then I headed back to the school library for an hour. Then I picked up dgs2. I've offered my services to the nursery as a story reader next session and the nursery manager seems keen. Once I'd collected dgs1, we headed home. Dgs1 was tired and stayed indoors. Dgs2 wanted to do more weed killing with salty water so that's what we did. Then he painted his wee figures he had made on Saturday. I was in bed very early once theyd been collected.
Today will be more of the same. I'll bring the boys back to my house for breakfast then take them to school. Lots of pottering until it's time to get them. Have a good day all.

Good morning from Malta where it’s sunny and the high is forecast at 32°C.

I had my treasures for the day yesterday which made it a very good day. They weren’t any trouble at all. We went to the park, then they played in the paddling pool which of course means the hose comes out (not looking forward to my water bill😅),we read stories, played with various toys and they ate and ate! I think they’ve got hollow legs!

Today I was supposed to be having Milo dog but just had a message from DD3 to say her cleaner can’t make it so I’m off the hook!

I have a package to collect from the post office, no idea why they left me a notice that they had attempted to deliver it on Saturday as I was in all day. Anyway, the walk will do me good.

I shall watch tennis later, my guilty pleasure!😂

Wishing you all the best day possible.☀️

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from a rather grey South Yorkshire. I hope it stays dry as I would like to be able to walk to school this afternoon.

Yesterday I hopped on a bus and went to our botanical gardens. What a joy! So much colour at the moment. The roses are fabulous this year, and a lot of new imaginative planted borders I hadn’t seen before - and the gravel and rock gardens which I love. It always makes me wish it had a bigger garden! An hour each way on the bus and then a lot of walking knocked me for six though. I was ready for my bed by eight. Managed to hang on until nine thirty and then out like a light until half past five! You can’t get that on prescription.

Not much planned for today except my volunteer session.

Have the best day you can, folks.

Good morning everyone from a cloudy Lancashire.
I hope your blood test goes ok, Mick.

Thank you for the tips on how to get names to appear in bold, FriedGreenTomatoes. Fingers crossed I've followed your instructions correctly.
Hope you enjoyed Bents. I love it there but daren't go too often because it's a danger to my bank balance! Likewise the Trafford Centre. 😄

Yesterday we went shopping and then a friend came over in the afternoon.

This morning we're going to a photography exhibition put on by a friend of our DS at the local library.

This afternoon we have the monthly meeting with the little chap's social worker to discuss how things are going. He's doing really well and is a happy little soul. Before we know it he'll have been with us for a year.

What a poignant video from your brother, Gagagran, but how lovely that modern technology gives us these opportunities. 💙

Wishing everyone the best day possible. 🌻
