Read the advice on storage. Everything doesn't keep forever, even in a freezer.

We just finished off the sausage rolls I made this time last year . No problem at all ?

Eat them - they will be fine. I do not even date what I put in the freezer. If it has not at any time thawed out it will be fine.

Read? ?Bread I meant.

nanasam you’re starting with the Christmas pud early this year ( yummy aren’t they?)
I wouldn’t eat mince pies frozen for a year sunseeker it’s not the mince it’s the pastry I would worry about. Read, cakes and pastry don’t have a long life in the freezer, not like meat or veg.

aggie normally mince pies don't last long but I was expecting someone to call over Christmas and wanted to have some ready - nobody came and I must have put them in the freezer to save for later and then forgotten about them

Oh, and I have to hide my mince pies or not make them until Christmas Eve, otherwise I'd be making dozens!

I found 2 Christmas puddings at the back of a cupboard with BB date April 2019! We opened one and tried it the other night and it was lovely, and we lived to tell the tale. We'll be keeping the other one for Christmas this year!

Luckygirl Fri 06-Dec-19 13:24:09

Eat!

Sara65 Fri 06-Dec-19 13:22:30

I would definitely throw them away.

wildswan16 Fri 06-Dec-19 13:18:10

Definitely eat them, I'd have them warm with custard.

jura2 Fri 06-Dec-19 13:05:27

yeah, no problem

Mapleleaf Fri 06-Dec-19 12:59:06

Give them a try. If they taste stale, then you can bin them, but if they've been well wrapped up they should be ok.

ginny Fri 06-Dec-19 12:55:55

Yep, eat them.

maddyone Fri 06-Dec-19 12:41:29

They’ll be fine, eat them.

Gonegirl Fri 06-Dec-19 12:41:09

I would eat them.

Sorting through the freezer (making room for Christmas goodies) I have come across some mince pies from last year blush. Should I risk defrosting and eating them or just throw them away?
