Ive just watched the Christmas Ad from Aldi and it is truly lovely the best one yet, much better than JLs which I think wasnt very good at all. Love Kevin the carrot and Ebanana and they had Marcus Rachford( radish) and Cuthbert the Caterpiller getting arrested by sour lemons so clever. I feel quite Christmassy now.

I've only seen the Aldi advert of extended family playing with lots of identities all based round massive dead body of turkey...not good. I look forward to the veggie one when I see it

This is the main Aldi advert

Mainly veggies having fun and games

Kleenex alert

I defy you to watch this -the “alternative” JL ad - without shedding a tear.

I love the take on Dickens "A Christmas Carol" it is up there with the Muppets version.

I would not say strict, just traditional. St Nicolas comes on the 4th of December, that is when a lot of Children get their presents. Children put a shoe outside the door which St Nicolas puts gifts in. Christmas is more of a family celebration and adults get presents at New Year.
The first year we were here I went shopping for DD age 10 and all the Children's Christmas stuff had been packed away and the shops were back to normal.
I got a quick lesson.

Surely you mean December 6 Felice?
Or more exactly the night of the 5/6 as the latter is the feast of Saint Nicholas?

I can’t link it but if you search for Offaly pub Christmas ad you’ll find it, it makes me laugh loudly. The latest is for 2020, hope they do one this year.

I saw the Aldi ad for the first time last night; it's lovely. They always do the best one.

TanaMa, Boxers are my favourites - we had a lovely one when I was a teenager. I like a Christmas ad that makes me laugh - or at least smile - and JL's bouncing Boxer did it for me. My family, knowing this, presented me with the soft toy based on the advert and he still stands guard over my bedroom!

Can you do us a link to that please?
It doesn’t sound familiar. confused

The families is Lidl, with the time travelling . Not Aldi, that might be why it’s not “ringing a bell”.

Bah Humbug! The adverts start far too early and Christmas has lost its appeal as a result. I much prefer the continental approach.

Look at the tables groaning with on these Christmas adverts and notice the complete lack of cutlery!!! Do they serve with their fingers??
Love the Aldi advert. Not seen JL.
