My OH got me a retro railway style clock with a thermometer on the other side. It not plastic and looks like the real thing. I chose it! It will look nice hanging on the wall outside. All my other presents were lovely too.

Congrats 62Granny, how wonderful!

Mine is a nice thin down vest (you call them gillets?) in a soft grey. It will get a lot of wear.

No one will be able to top that, 62Granny, unless it’s twins! Congratulations, what a fabulous present for all the family. ❤️

Should read 'Thank you for your friendship.

A beautiful, pale grey cashmere scarf and my favourite perfume. Handmade chocolates from someone I go to know on Gransnet. She has become a very dear and valued friend. We have kept each other going through the pandemic. Shared laughter and tears, yet we have never met. If you are reading this, you know who you are. That you for your friendship smileflowers

I get some lovely things but my favourite is a really soft fleece dressing gown. I have always had towelling or cotton waffle. This is my first fleece one and it’s as soft as kittens fur.

I have had some lovely presents but my favourite was from my closest friend, who made me a Christmas tablecloth with a robin pattern. So thoughtful.

A pair of Cotton Traders black suede (not real suede) ankle boots with a little rose motif on them.

A big hug off my teenage grandchildren, that was better than any actual present. It had been a long time since the last hug!

Having been told by my mother for years that I am tone deaf and wishing I could sing, DH bought me a course of singing lessons.

I love L'Occitane stuff, always smells so lovely - I got some last Xmas, but this year it was a Sanctuary spa gift set, so we'll see how that compares. Daughter also got me a pair of leopard print Vans, so I'm looking forward to rocking those in the warmer weather!

LauraNorderr Sun 26-Dec-21 17:14:34

62Granny, you couldn’t have had a better gift. How lovely. Congratulations to you all.

GagaJo

L'Occitane set. I haven't used it for years but it was a nice surprise. I still smell lemony from this mornings application.

GagaJo Same here but in Cherry Blossom fragrance its just beautiful and my favourite something I would never buy for myself.

62Granny - how lovely. Congratulations.

My favourite gift was the new Dyson hairdryer shock

I have maintained all year that I genuinely didn't want anything, as I have everything I want. However my daughter remembered me saying I'd like one, if they weren't so astronomically expensive, so when my husband said he really didn't know what to get me, she mentioned the hairdryer.

She didn't mention the price to him though, so my poor husband is still in a state of shock grin

Oooo, difficult to choose! I absolutely love the L'Occitane hat box hamper that I received because L'Occitane is my favourite brand and it was absolutely stuffed full with all my favourite products. But I also loved the tartan cashmere scarf and gloves too..... But I think the gift that melted my heart was the little glass bird to hang on the Christmas tree; chosen by my GC. I'll treasure that forever.

Jigsaws, I love jigsaws. Lots of bits and pieces. Jigsaws.

Circumstances have dictated that my son is staying with us for Xmas this year. Spending it with both him and my hubby is the best present. I can't remember the last time I spent Christmas day with my son. smile

My grandson being on leave from the Armed Forces was the best present i had, i have not seen him for such a long time.

A prompt reply from 10 yr old GD (4.5 hours drive away) to my early morning 'Happy Christmas' message. And then another message from her about one of her presents that she knew I would be particularly interested in.

A good Christmas present was finding my half sister after 78 years! Got two new nieces three new great nephews. Now enjoying finding similarities. Done via DNA.

Fantastic, 62Granny! smile Many congratulations to all of you.

PammyHoops Sun 26-Dec-21 16:09:49

I received a dry robe to wrap up in after my Friday sea swims.
Love it, I have been quietly jealous of others around me using theirs when I stand shivering in an old cotton dressing gown.

MiniMoon Sun 26-Dec-21 16:06:51

Congratulations 62Granny. How wonderful. ??

62Granny Sun 26-Dec-21 15:53:49

We had the most wonderful gift our DD have birth to our first grandson yesterday morning?

GagaJo Sun 26-Dec-21 15:50:26

L'Occitane set. I haven't used it for years but it was a nice surprise. I still smell lemony from this mornings application.

My friend and I were window shopping (here in Italy) and I pointed out a lovely cherry red pyjama set. She sneaked out and bought it for me ! Far too generous but I love it.
