Had a very merry visit to such a Christmassy garden centre yesterday with my daughter & son in law (my birthday treat!). Oh my goodness- the displays! Everywhere festooned with festiveness and twinkling like crazy.
I don't know if it was " visions of sugarplums dancing in my head " but by 9.30 this morning I'd put up my first tree (dining room).
Our Christmas Market and Lights Switch on are happening on Friday so I may not be able to hold back on the rest of the decorating on this weekend! Talk me down someone shock

Well I feel better now. Although the decs are still boxed I have been planning a Christmas scene. I'm on the point of buying knitted mouse carol singers..........

Every room is decorated; five Christmas trees, a six foot in each of the two bedrooms, two in my large hall and a huge 7ft+ in the lounge. I also have a small one in the kitchen and a tabletop one on the sideboard. All are themed ( I’m obsessively particular about them!). Then there’s all the rest of the (themed again) decorations

Yikes!
I cant think of more words to say than that!

Mayjohn Sorry for your loss.

We put the lights on the Christmas tree in the front garden today but only because it was dry and not raining. But not actually switched them on yet - still got some lights to hang from the window and then we are good to go.
The inside tree is awaiting eldest GDs visit (she's 19!!) and is insistent that it is her job and always has been!! To be fair apart from Covid she's always done it!! smile

Tomorrow is the last day this term that we will have both sets of grandchildren after school. They have been clamouring to decorate our Christmas tree again (we let them last year), so I just went up in the loft to get the tree, lights and baubles down. However my DH said "While you are up there you might as well get all the decorations down", so I did, and now he's putting up lights in the front windows ("We don't have to switch them on yet!" he says) and I'm guessing by the end of the week we will be fully decorated and illuminated. grin
