Is anyone else still fiddling and jiggling their baubles about?
I'm adding my last sparkly bits, will be out in the garden looking for any berries lurking around and have a few of those £1 battery light sets to go (if I can ever open them grin

Merry Christmas fellow faffers!

I'm not but other half is in the workshop fiddling with broken Christmas lights and the cutlery basket from the dishwasher. Chores lined up all year are getting done now, probably to avoid having to go shopping...

Fixing lights is a thankless task, if they're more than a couple of years old I have to confess to binning them.

We're not "baubling" any more as we put our tree (with lights) out on the balcony and don't really have enough unbreakable baubles to bother with. The wind is so strong that it may well be carried away!
(Before anybody panics, let me tell you that we have lights that can be used outdoors and a proper outdoor lighting circuit}.

I wasn’t going to do any decs this year.
Not feeling ‘Christmasy’ since DH died
But, have today put up a couple of them.
Not my usual over the top display- but trying to get into festive mood.

I don’t have a tree. I have the two naughtiest cats I’ve ever shared a home with. I got fed up of picking the tree up and redecorating it every morning. Instead I have this

Years ago, we had the tree in a spot where I could see it all the time when I'm sitting in the living room. This resulted in me constantly moving ornaments around for balance and symmetry. It was good exercise getting up and down a couple of times a day but I had to move the Christmas tree to a different part of the living room. Out of sight out of mind.

Ours fell over about 30 mins ago. It looked a bit droopy this morning so I poured water in. Next thing it was in the floor. Just what I neededangry

Surely Baubles can choose any pronoun to suit

RosiesMaw Wed 20-Dec-23 18:53:06

Surely Baubles is a woman?

grandMattie Wed 20-Dec-23 18:44:22

I’ve never been keen on decorating, and now I’m on my own, decorations remind me too much of my late DH who would decorate the house in November if given the chance.
