I’m sure there are some beautiful trees out there, trees which tell a story with decorations gathered over the years, elegant trees, big tree, little trees, real trees, artificial trees- well I thought it might be nice to put them all together on one thread!
Here’s my tiny tree - a far cry from the 6 footers we used to have when the children lived at home.
But also safely out of reach of dogs- I have an abiding memory of Jock, my first (and only boy) greyhound who took one glance at our floor standing (big) tree, and clearly thought” Oh good, indoor plumbing” 😱😱😱
So bring out your trees tchsmile

Maybe a bit OTT with silver! Just put on most of what I have.

No very big, but lots of toys for the GCs

Chaitriona Mon 15-Dec-25 20:12:03

For the last few years, I have made a tree out of bare branches cut from the garden.

Foxyferret Mon 15-Dec-25 20:53:03

Here’s mine again with lights on this time. I forgot before.

Thankyou NotSpaghetti. After much huffing and puffing we got it into the house and secure in its holder. Husband has Alzheimers so jobs he would usually find relatively easy do present a
challenge!! However it was well worth the effort. so pleased with it.

I haven't put a tree uo for many years just a few festive ornaments. Everyone's trees look lovely but I was never that bothered once the children left home. I don't miss putting it up a d taking it down.

LadyGaGa Mon 15-Dec-25 22:33:29

Dear Shelflife - that struggle makes it even more beautiful because it was so much harder.
Thank you for sharing it!

Poppy red, so sorry to hear this, and I’m glad you are doing your best to celebrate Christmas.

CanadianGran Tue 16-Dec-25 04:01:01

I haven’t seen mine yet since I am away visiting my daughter and family,. Eldest son at home has cut one from the forest, and DH has put it up and strung the lights. I will decorate it when I get home late4 this week.

Whitewavemark2 Tue 16-Dec-25 10:34:25

Our tree is in its pot now being allowed to relax after being trussed like a Turkey, then we will decorate it. Christmas music on sitting having coffee.

The room smells utterly delicious.
