Dh and I are a little behind with Christmas prep. Not massively. Gifts -for Ds and DIL to wrap, Christmas hair appt and a trip to Waitrose for booze. We discuss the night before any plans for the next day.

Last night I said to dh let’s have a day off tomorrow and just go out somewhere for the day. He willingly agreed and also on where to go which was the coast. So that’s where we’ve been today and it’s been wonderful away from Christmas hustle and bustle. Had fish and chips at a favourite fish restaurant. I did manage to buy a few bits and pieces mainly tea lights. I’m running low on them and shops locally seem to be as well. I decided I could do with some new jeans and found a fab pair in a charity shop £4.50 a bargain. On our way home had a stop before crossing the bridge at a boutique I love who have 40 yes 40% off all clothing. I got a really nice jacket £33 instead of £55 so a good day all round. It goes great with the new jeans too 😀
So what I’m saying is it’s good to stop, take your foot off the pedal and have a day doing what you fancy instead of what needs to be done or should be doing. It will wait.

We did that today and thoroughly enjoyed all of it. Lunch out with a drink and a mooch around. Fabulous! Back to sorting out Christmas stuff tomorrow. Have a day out and enjoy it!
