Good Idea or not ?

Reminds me of an acquaintance who used to work in the post room of an army barracks. He had to scan all the parcels to check for bombs. A parcel came in for the Colonel’s wife...he could never look her in the eye after that!

This thread became "topic of the day" at our computer club (elderlies) this morning, prompting some clever Aussie humour, as you can imagine, about the apparent dearth of human vibrators; are they all passed their "use-by-date", etc. etc. ?grin
One questioner; would they be any good at relieving constipation? Not being prone to that particular discomfort (a beneficial side-effect of Shiraz), I said I'd ask the experts, but emphasised it was an example of British humour.
Any advices? "Suck it and see" is invalid! grin

Bridgeit; Don't! Stop it! You're making me blush! blush
I've recently used a DIY Ordination kit
(Ace, King, Queen, Jack, Ten;), so must
watch my step, but I must confess I've already broken my vows; "Shiraz" was/is her name and she's left me with a thumping headache so I might move over to that introverts' thread for a bit of R&R.
this week-end.
Incidentally, GNetters appear to have done a runner from this thread. Could it be that a bunch of Aussie OAPs has embarrassed them? sad Too bad! That's life!
Bless You

I think we’ve run out of inuendos.

Maybelle Sat 10-Nov-18 21:38:55

You just need to ask for an innuendo, and someone will give you one . . .

MissAdventure Sat 10-Nov-18 22:57:13

given that things have been a bit grim here lately but now improving was very tempted to show this thread to dh when he asked what I would like for my 70th birthday which is shortly arriving!

Pythagorus Mon 26-Nov-18 20:18:52

Why not sell vibrators? Condoms are sold everywhere and we know what they are for! I have often thought about getting a vibrator, but what stops me is that if I suddenly drop of the twig, My son will find it in my bedside drawer when he is clearing out my things! Lol!

Oakleaf Mon 26-Nov-18 20:34:15

Go for it Pythagorus but don't bother with cheap supermarket ones. The Anne Summers Moregasm is amazing. It looks like a pink computer mouse so your son will think you were browsing not arousing. Great for men as well as women btw. smile

Pythagorus Mon 26-Nov-18 23:31:19

An electric toothbrush as a vibrator! OMG. The thought of it! Although an elderly woman I know once told me she used a Kenwood hand held mixer with one of the attachments ...,, I never accepted a slice of cake in her house again!

Rufus2 Tue 27-Nov-18 07:53:49

Great for men as well as women btw.
Pythagorus; If you were Pythagoras you could be the square on the hypotenuse. grinBut where have you been? This thread was done and dusted ages ago, but please explain. Nobody could confirm or deny whether one would be a relief for constipation, but toothbrushes!? You're tempting me into forbidden territory! shock
Take care brushing your teeth tonight!

Pythagorus Tue 27-Nov-18 08:14:58

Well Rufus, if I read posts without wearing my glasses I can’t see the date of the post as it is in small print!

What a marvellous thread. It's really brightened up a very dull, wet morning here.
Anyone watch "Grace and Frankie?" (American TV series on Netflix). Vibrators figure very large (pardon the pun!) in the storyline.

Oakleaf; Whilst Pythagarus is looking for her glasses perhaps you could take over the "please explain" bit; I was so shocked I got all mixed up! shock

Pythagorus Tue 27-Nov-18 18:17:42

Just love Grace and Frankie. Hilarious!

Pythagorus Tue 27-Nov-18 18:19:54

Or shall I put it on my Christmas list for the family?

Ohmother Tue 27-Nov-18 21:27:48

Joke. An elderly lady came across an old friend in town.
“Eeee Rita! How have you been?” Her friend says.
“Not too good over the past couple of years. Lost my husband and besides the companionship I really miss the sex. It was amazing!”
“Well, if I may be so bold the sex part can be sorted by treating yourself to a vibrator. Go to Anne Summers and have a look for something that resembles your husbands you know what and you won’t go wrong. You can have the same fun with that as you had with your husband!”

After a few months the ladies met again.
“How did you get on with the vibrator then?” The friend asked.
“Oh, it was everything you promised and more but I don’t like the side effects”
“What side effects?”
“Well that’s why I must dash off early. I’m off to the dentist as it’s knocked all the enamel off my teeth!”

Oakleaf; Good Evening; Come on! Wakey, Wakey! It's our OAP weekly computer session tomorrow, but we usually kick off with a "topic for the day" before settling down and the lads are looking to me to provide the topic; these threads have been a good source.
So "please explain" your comment; don't be shy; we're fireproof and unshockable! grin Thank you!

I’m more of a lurker here & pop in to try my luck.. this post intrigued me! In supermarkets would be ok if discreet packaging as shop with my grandchildren who are inquisitive you what I buy so I usually shop online for intimate products! Be nice gift if free with my weekly tea - bags ?

Ali08 Tue 05-Jul-22 06:33:20

I'm assuming this never happened as I can't say I've seen any in our local supermarkets!

Puzzled Tue 09-Aug-22 11:30:01

Boots used to stock them, (Not been in that branch since the purchase)
They can be very important for some couples.
A friend's husband had disastrous prostate op (As did F I L and one of his B I Ls ) She is is late 50s, so they tried a variety of things, but she really appreciates DH's use of one.
We hope that he enjoys seeing her pleasure.
