A wonderful surprise - a box of Father's Day books from Random House. I thought it was going to be a tin of paint that I had ordered! I may have to pinch the Jo Nesbo one though...
Ridiculously pleased, I never win anything usually!

Is this the place to say thank you for the copy of The Cleaner of Chartres? I'm really keen to read this as I've been weeping over A Tale For the Time Being by Ruth Ozeki and I find Salley Vickers books a pleasure to read. I'm off to our local cathedral now!

Gorki Sat 15-Jun-13 11:58:10

Many thanks for my copy too which arrived earlier this morning. I haven't read any of her books and so am looking forward to the experience.grin

Charleygirl Sat 15-Jun-13 12:29:30

I agree with Gorki, I also have never read any of her books and I was pleasantly surprised to see this book delivered today. I am looking forward to reading it. Thank you so much.

I also want to add my thanks for copy of Cleaner of Chartres, plus the pleasure of the surprise of seeing postie bearing a parcel this morning because I wasn't expecting anything and I did the "For me?" and beaming smile thing. Looking forward to reading it, I am due to start a new book tonight, now don't have to decide which one it will be.

Thanks for my copy too. I've enjoyed all the Salley Vickers books I've read so far (especially Miss Garnett's Angel as we had just come back from the area of Venice where it is set) so am looking forward to reading this one.

"The Trundlers" has just popped through my letter box and has been immediately appropriated by DH! My turn will come when he has read it cover to cover. As he is an ex-player and avid fan I don't mind him having "first dibs". A big thank you from both of us! (searches in vain for a cricket bat emoticon)
