We've always got something fabulous up for grabs here on Gransnet. If you've got any questions about a prize or would like to discuss what you've won with fellow gransnetters, feel free to post here.

Also - do check your emails around the closing date of the competition you've entered. If you've won, we would have emailed you the details. Don't forget to check your junk mail, as sometimes our mails slip through the net.

I was so lucky to win a competition, the prize, 2 nights accommodation in a London apartment. Couldn't believe it, as I never win anything. Sorry, I did win £3.00 in a Bingo game when on holiday with my parents, it was a lot of money to a youngster. Back to the London break, the day we had chosen to travel, the London underground were on strike, but bless their hearts, there were lots of volunteers pointing bewildered travellers in the right direction. The apartment was very comfortable, and well equipped. It was situated in Aldgate East, the old east end, and lots of building, regeneration going on. We had a trip up the Thames to Greenwich North, passing Canary Wharf and the big banks, waved to our grandson,(not sure he saw us grin, then took a 'flight' on the cable car across the river, enjoying a cream tea at the terminus, lovely.
Thank you Gransnet for my prize, DH and I thoroughly enjoyed our couple of days.

Sounds like you had a fantastic time Auntieflow, despite the tube strike!

I've just sent my acceptance to GNHQ. I am amazed and very pleased. It's given us both a bit of a lift as we'd had a difficult day so far, let alone a difficult month. Thank you Alea and Greenfich. My new motto will be Happiness is a Hoover. grin

What the Ladybird Heard Next has just arrived! It is Lovely and GD has heard it three times already; I won't spoil the story, but it follows the first book! smile Thank you Gransnet flowers

Thanks from me too. My older grandchildren grew up with Julia Donaldson books and this will make a lovely present for the younger one who has just had a new brother and is just feeling a tiny bit jealous of him.

Thank you for my copy of What the Ladybird Heard Next which arrived yesterday. My granddaughter is a great Julia Donaldson fan and loves What the Ladybird Heard. When she came after school yesterday she saw the new book and was so excited. We had to read it straight away and I'm sure it's going to become another firm favourite with her, and her 2 younger sisters.

Thank you for my copy of After You by Jojo Moyes. Really enjoyed the previous novel Me Before You so looking forward to starting this one.

Also What the Ladybird Heard Next arrived today. Youngest DGD will love it when I see her next weekend.

I just wanted to thank GN so much for sending a copy of What the Ladybird Heard Next by Julia Donaldson and Lydia Monks. It's delivery coincided with the arrival of my 4 year old GD for the weekend. The family had travelled for 6 hours by car from London and she was over-tired and grumpy.

We looked at the book first and then she asked me to read it and by the time we had found all the glittery bits, said all the animal noises and read the story, she was ready for bed and so cuddly.

What a lovely book, thank you again GN.
