I have of late, and wherefore I know not, lost all my mirth.

“Give sorrow words; the grief that does not speak knits up the o-er wrought heart and bids it break.”
MacBeth
It's such a true statement - sorrow has no words but has the power to break a heart. And if mourning is not done properly, it can do much damage. I teach Macbeth and I love it when pupils suddenly 'understand' how these wise words of Shakespeare are so relevant today. I remember when I first understood this quote after my mum died, and I made sure I grieved, as those words reminded me I would do more damage to myself and all around if I didn't.
I'd love these books..great competition thanks

Two households, both alike in dignity
In fair Verona, where we lay our scene
From ancient grudge break to new mutiny
Where civil blood makes civil hands unclean.
From forth the fatal loins of these two foes
A pair of star-cross'd lovers take their life
Whose misadventured piteous overthrows
Do with their death bury their parents' strife.
