When choosing a cake recipe to wow your friends and family, do you pick a new one and simply pour your heart into it, or is it a case of batter the devil you know?

To celebrate the launch of the new, colourful and pun-tastic 'Bake My Day' range, Mason Cash has teamed up with Gransnet to give its lovely members the chance to win one of five complete sets of the Bake My Day range worth up to £130!

To take part, all you need to do is put your thinking cap on and post your baking puns on the thread here.
All entries will be judged by the team at Mason Cash, who will pick their five favourite baking puns.

The winners might feature on future additions to the range, so there if your creative wordsmithery is particularly good, it could end up in kitchens all over the world!

This competition has now closed. Thanks for all your entries. Our winners have now been chosen...please see the bottom of the thread to see who!!

Why did the baker have brown knuckles?

He kneaded a poo...(sorry!)

shaunsheep Thu 09-Oct-14 12:31:41

Old bakers never die they're just 'brown bread'.

Valski Thu 09-Oct-14 13:01:30

A good baker will rise to the occasion, it's the yeast he can do.

But my daughter thinks this one is better:

A baker always put too much flour in his bread because he was a gluten for punishment.

Will miss the GBBO even more with winter coming upon us!
