My favourite thing to do when summer arrives is to head down to Cornwall to my caravan, spend day after day just pottering around with the dogs, its always a coat warmer in Cornwall than up in Yorkshire, it really is a magical county. Then ironically the worse thing is, it getting too hot for the dogs and the three of us having to stay in the shade of the caravan till the sun cools down, but its worth it!

Favourite - washing drying on the line. Worst - too hot to sleep!

The best thing about summer is not having to wear tights! I love the fact that it's so quick to get dressed. The worst thing is the hayfever. But, easy solved with some anti-histamines!

I love the seasonal produce available in the summer - which actually tastes of something. I know you can buy strawberries etc all year round, but I much prefer home grown, great tasting fruit and salad. I hate hay fever. Enough said!

Favourite thing: the dawn chorus - even at 4am. After months of silence, it's cheering when the songbirds find their voices again.
Least favourite: pollen allergies! At worst they make me feel as if I have flu and give me a wicked headache!

Longer days to get things done in my lovely garden, debilitating heat that stops me doing so!

Playing with the water table in the garden, and feigning surprise and horror when getting soaked by the grandchildren?

Long, lazy evenings in the garden with family and friends.

My favourite thing about summer is to see river brown trout rising to take the fleeting hatch of summer mayflies on a warm still day.

The worst thing is the bluebottles and houseflies that invade my conservatory whenever we have the doors open. Where do they come from, and why don’t they just stay there??

Hello one and all, I have been working with SEN children for the last few years - transporting them to and from school....
I am looking forward to the summer break (no 5.45 get-ups) to have fun with my Grandchildren, but will miss all the children during this time, as we have fun and good times on our school bus journeys....

I love watching the garden turn sunny and colourful but I hate the weeding.

My favourite thing is the way the garden bursts into life. My least favourite, feeling sweaty when going for a walk in the heat.

The best bit is hopefully good weather to spend time outdoors; the worst - looking after the garden in the heat and having to water it every night!!

My favourite things about summer? Everything! The birds & the bees, the plants & the trees, the sunshine (and the showers!), smiling faces of happy people, kids playing in the park (yes they still do it where I live), and best of all a little colour to my legs! My least favourite thing – it has to end.

Midges!! I hate them.
