Favourite is breakfast in the garden with the early birds before work.
Worst are the incessant weekend bonfires (not BBQs, which I love!).

cookiemonster66 Tue 19-Jun-18 15:19:49

I love sitting in the garden in the the fresh air reading a good book, worst thing is the humidity, as if the menopause is not bad enough.....

Greciangirl Tue 19-Jun-18 15:28:59

I love the warmth of the summer sun on my body.

I hate the cold winter wind blowing on me.

The beautiful sun and the cold winter rain.

These are my most least and favourite things.

The best thing about summer, apart from loving the gardening, is the fact that it makes everyone slow down and relax, and we all enjoy sitting outside restaurants and pubs.

The worst thing about summer for me, is the hot nights, trying to sleep.

Love walking the dogs early mornings or evenings when the heat of the day is not so intense.
Hate having to keep cutting the grass as it grows so much quicker in the summer.

nellenoxin Tue 19-Jun-18 19:05:44

Favourite thing is having extra time to spend with family and enjoy picnics and trips away

Least favourite is the pressure parent/ grandparents can find themselves under financially to provide things to do for kids in the summer hols

Like: Feeling the sun on my bare arms smile

Dislike: Mosquitoes ...they love me though! grin

madminx1 Tue 19-Jun-18 19:52:55

Love the long warm evenings but hate all these biting insects which seem to love me

kyalami Tue 19-Jun-18 20:20:15

I love the light evenings & spending time in the gardens.
I dislike all the weeds that grow in the garden!!

prissick Tue 19-Jun-18 20:42:40

Favourite: warmth, sunlight and free vitamin D
Least favourite: wasps

I love splashing around in the sea with our grandsons if we get the chance. I feel the worst thing is feeling great pity for those unfortunate people who get just that one week's holiday away, and find it rains most days. That, and flies forever finding a way into the kitchen and driving me mad.

HugeBowlofChips Tue 19-Jun-18 22:41:32

Worst: the disappointment
Best: bird song

Sid98 Wed 20-Jun-18 00:37:20

I love the hot weather and i dislike getting hayfever

TwiceAsNice Wed 20-Jun-18 07:43:45

Best thing is bare feet or sandals after boots and shoes in the winter and no cardigan

Worst is having to go and be somewhere for several hours in the sun with no shade. I loved sunbathing when I was young but can't sit in it for long periods any more. I'm ok with the warmth I just need some shade.

Favourite thing - Sitting by our pond with a beer on a warm summer evening
Least favourite thing - Having to leave my seat by the pond to get another beer

Vhall254 Wed 20-Jun-18 10:57:40

My favourite part of summer is the light evenings, my least favourite is the amount of my wobbly bits that are on show in summer clothes!

trisher Wed 20-Jun-18 11:02:47

Favourite thing is walking in just cotton trousers and a loose top (although in the NE you still need to take a waterproof).
Least favourite is hayfever and the B...... anti-histamine I need every morning! (and this is an old age development. 20 years ago I didn't need any thing)

Deliabattie Wed 20-Jun-18 12:37:39

Favourite thing is wearing flip flops all the time, so comfortable!
Worst thing is all my toddler's clubs finish over summer so we get thrown out of our routine and have to figure out what to do everyday for 8 weeks.

VivNE65 Wed 20-Jun-18 13:27:06

Favourite: warm sunshine
Least favourite: school holidays

nabob Wed 20-Jun-18 13:52:59

I love being able to spend summer on the golf course with shorts and a polo top instead of four layers in the winter. I do not like all the midges and horseflies that are on the golf course though!

minilynn3 Wed 20-Jun-18 15:23:31

Having to run around at work in the heat is the worst thing and the best thing is all the wonderful flowers in bloom!

Grandmother1234 Wed 20-Jun-18 15:24:39

My favourite thing about summer is when we get hot weather the sun lifts my spirit and the worst thing is I don’t look as good in summer clothes as I would like to

GrannieAnnie123 Wed 20-Jun-18 17:18:05

The best part of summer is to be able to sit in the garden reading a good book, watching the fluffy clouds and hearing the birds. The worst bit is looking at stumpy freckled white legs with patchy fake tan!

clancyblue21 Wed 20-Jun-18 17:26:40

I love the summer, landscaping a new garden then relaxing with an ice cream and a good book in the sunshine. I don't like having to read indoors if it rains.

moleswife Wed 20-Jun-18 18:48:06

I especially love having so much more energy when not huddled up inside layer upon layer of clothes, desperate to be near any heat source and only wanting to venture out between the hours of 10.00 - 4.00. I move more easily, stay warm longer and feel freer when the days are long and the sun finds its way into my chilly, dark house.
I'm not too keen on the extra housework that has to be done when you can see what has been left all winter!!
