I travel to experience different cultures and to discover all of the amazing things the world has to offer.

It's also a great escape from real life for a while. I never look at news etc. and only use my phone etc. for emergencies when on holiday so I'm always very relaxed.

i travel because i'm curious, i love to see new things, eat new foods, but also see how people live, mostly they are the same as us - want the same things happiness and security for them and their family

My reason to travel is because it's important to learn about different cultures and see other countries in the flesh. It's also a great way to relax away from everyday life

Hubby and I travel to help us make up for all the years when juggling work and careers we were like ships that passed in the night. We grabbed the chance when becoming empty nesters to make up for lost time. Being lifelong savers we are now able to live comfortably in retirement but find if we stay at home there is always work to be done. Travelling in our motorhome is the answer to our prayers. We are able to spend quality time together, walk and cycle lots and read and relax too. We are having the time of our lives!

People and culture are the main reasons I travel. People being family and friends then there's culture and the mass of intrigue, excitement and emotions different ways of life stir up my senses.

I travel because I love experiencing something new. I especially love south Africa, the kruger national park is a wonderful place to visit

The world is big and full of wonder. Our lives are short and full of opportunities. I am off tomorrow to a country I have never visited and am determined to make the most of the next four days.

I believe travel broadens the mind and it's exciting to see for myself places I have read about & seen on TV, especially the wonders of the nature as the world around us is changing so much.

I travel to quench my interest in the world and to just get away from things.

To experience new countries and cultures, but my favourite things to esperience are new food and drinks. Then when we come home to try and replicate the recipes and have at least one recipe from each country and region we have visited.

Hi peeps
This is only my second post although I've been a member for some time. My reason for travelling is to escape. It's so hard bringing up my 2 grandsons. I need the break. Luckily hubby understands that while he's at the office he gets to escape. He's aware that I do the majority of the child rearing so is very understanding. 5 weeks in Australia every other year to visit my son and other 2 grandsons. I don't know what I'd do if I didn't have that escape
