The BFG was one among the first among many Roald Dald books we started reading. They are all interrupting. Got two grandsons and another baby on the way. These books will be a great addition to the one they already have. Never get fed up. Every night a story.....over and over again.
I love Charlie Bucket from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. He is inspiring to all children to be happy with what you have and appreciate the simple things in life
We all loved Esiotrot ....we are now colkecting for oue new grandaughter..now 12 weeks old so sge can have her own collection, and give her the hours of pleasure with her own book collections that my children had
BFG - he reminds me of my granpa - called Grantin for some reason no one can remember. He has been dead for nearly 60 years and yet I can still remember him. No idea what I did yesterday though!
Love all Roald Dahl books. What a great imagination he had. My favourite though is Charlie of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I think everyone loves this story, whatever their age.
At risk of being declared a numbskull I have to say I am totally new to Roald Dahl except for my first delightful intro to Matilda at the theatre. But, I do now have my first grandchild, he is a sheer delight and I have got to get to know all these amazing characters so that I can pass them on to him. Where shall I start?!
It has to be Matilda as my daughter has read this book so many times , I read it to her when she was little and she was hooked , she dressed as her on book day at school and we've been to see it twice at the theatre , I think she likes her courage and determination , and funny character .
