Have a cuddle with my newborn baby granddaughter and watch her sleeping soundly. If that's not possible then reading a good book under the duvet!

Either sit in the garden and read if it's a nice day. If it's not or it's evening then probably put the TV on and watch a programme that I've recorded and am looking forward to watching.

Knit, anything and everything. At the moment hot water bottle covers to use up odd balls of wool

A couple of drinks, playing with the kids, watching some box sets with my wife. Anything that doesn't need a lot of concentration.

My idea of bliss is a warm shower and then sitting up in bed knitting.

Toddleo Thu 20-Sept-18 10:03:39

A hot bath with plenty of bubbles, with a mug of tea (in a bone china mug - obviously!) and a brand new magazine to read while soaking. Bliss

I shut myself in the shed at the bottom of my garden and watch the birds and wildlife feasting on the food I put out for them. Its also lovely to sit there and watch the trees and shrubs change colour with the seasons. I sit there until I feel suitably restored with a cup of tea in hand (or sometimes a nice glass of cold sparkling cider!)

maclinks Thu 20-Sept-18 11:52:18

i love to make a cup of tea and read a good book

I do some mindfulness using the Headspace app, or listen to some soothing music whilst soaking my feet in some lovely scented, warm water. However I am usually brought round by the sound of a loud snore.....mine! ?

A good book and a glass (or two) of wine, while sitting on a comfy recliner chair.

Nothing like some great music and a dance round the living room. Also a good drama on T.V. with my cat curled up next to me purring when I stroke him helps.

A good long stroll on a lovely Summer day preferably alongside some lapping water with a gentle breeze, I am already relaxing by thinking about it!
