I like nothing better than to light some beautiful smelling candles and cuddle into my husband on the settee with a good book or listening to music from our courting days.

Yoga! My weekly class removes all trace of anxiety & stress. Combine that with an Ayurvedic scent and follow with a warm bath ... bliss.
The only problem is, the feeling doesn’t last all week!

If I can afford it then a massage for an hour - fantastic!

Good cup of coffee, chocolate and a good book. They are my favourite things to relax with.

JonFlorrie Sun 23-Sept-18 13:46:38

I enjoy making things and am generally laid back anyway, but when I really want to chill I go up to the small bedroom (now a home office), put a music cd on and do some sewing or make some cards. I get completely engrossed and a few hours of relaxing creation can pass by very quickly.

Psalmody Sun 23-Sept-18 13:48:48

At this time of year a scrumptious hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows, and a scented candle lit with my crotchet in hand!

Take the dogs on a lovely long walk on the beach. Get home dry dogs and myself. Make a lovely hot cup of tea with some jam on buttered toast, feet up read or watch telly with a self satisfied smug smile. Love it best when it pouring with rain and blowing a gale ☔️???? Happy days ?

I suffer quite badly with anxiety and find it really hard to relax but I do find water very soothing. I even had a water birth, way back before it was fashionable! So I relax and unwind with a nice long walk with my dog then a soak in the bath with your Foaming Bath Soak and spending time with my family.

Jostanno Sun 23-Sept-18 14:14:22

I sit by the window of my Scaarborough flat and watch the ever-changing sea and the beautiful clouds. Heaven!

ResearcherMel Sun 23-Sept-18 14:15:25

A good book, blanket over the knees with kitty curled up on top, lovely view of garden nature with classical music, easy jazz or Gregorian chant playing in background! Can read for hours like this!
Also a lovely warm scented bath with the sound of a rain storm playing, that really eases up the aches and pains!
