I take my dogs for a long walk , It seems to help me think clearly , allows me to resolve issues and make decisions , I always return with a clear head and feeling fit
Take phone off hook Switch off mobile Run a warm relaxing bath Add a few drops of Lavender essential oil Light Jo Malone candle Pour a glass of chilled Sauvignon Blanc Dim the lights Submerge Feel the bliss
I put my feet up and knit cannula sleeves for people with dementia as they tend to pull their cannulas out. It is quite addictive as you have to use bright colours and be inventive with 'safe' twiddles. The nurses are extremely appreciative of our efforts. The sleeves are taken to local hospitals after they have been safety checked.
I grab my daughter and book a spa day ... we always stagger out of there semi-comatose from essential oils, hot tub and steam room and chit-chat!
Particularly enjoyable in the depth of winter, one day we came out into darkness and snow, and headed to a lively Cuban restaurant and had the biggest cocktail I had ever seen. Bliss.
A leisurely walk in the park (rain or shine) and then taking a break on a bench to read a book. If it's cold or wet a welcome cuppa in the local cosy café. Back home to a warm/cool shower and a lazy afternoon in the garden.
A walk in the countryside ususally does it, walking at a good pace with my little dog. If all else fails a trip to our local garden centre which is always awash with colour at any time of year.
