Like many, my favourite way is a bath and a good book. I also find jigsaws relaxing and always have a large one set out on a piece of plywood (tucked under the sofa) that I can pull out and spend time on. My ultimate relax however is an afternoon siesta!

In common with nearly everyone, a lovely scented bubble bath and a good book. Soothing music in the background, and if I've time, a face pack. If I'm feeling really decadent, there'll be a box of chocs and a glass of fizz on the side.

A nice hot bubble bath with a face mask and large glass of wine.

I like to relax with a nice cup of tea, soft lighting and a classic film on.

I love to read and find it really relaxes me as soon as I start! I also find cooking and baking very relaxing too.

Yoga .. calms the mind stretches the old body out and makes all right in the world again ??‍♀️??‍♀️??‍♀️

My weekly pamper night, includes a face mask/peel, followed by my yoga facial exercises (no recovery and a free way to minimise wrinkles)

This is followed by a long refreshing shower which includes a body scrub, hair treatment after shampoo and condition which I leave on with a head towel wrap until I have finished showering. I also do my weekly shave and feet pedicure whilst in the shower.

Taking time to relax after, fresh bedding is a must that night, and taking time to do my hair.

Followed my a mug of hot chocolate, biscuits, meditation and listening to spiritual speakers in bed. Bliss

I usually go for a short walk and sit somewhere that has a wonderful view and take 10 minutes to just sit and appreciate the beauty

jtl1131 Thu 27-Sept-18 07:10:43

Usually i will sit and cross stitch, maybe put on a film or series for a bit of back ground noise. I just find stitching a very therapeutic activity, especially after a hard day

Before I had problems with my hands, I found that jewellery making was a great stressbuster. It was such a great feeling, looking at the finished article.
Nowadays, it's working in the garden, followed by a long hot soak in a bubble bath.

Another vote for a very good book, a scented bath, along with coffee and chocolates, that's my number 1. I also find going out for a drive in the countryside and singing loudly to the radio does the trick too!

I love to swim and then relax in the steam room - pure bliss!

A magic cup of tea made by son (which is a cuppa that comes with 10 mins peace) Bliss xx

TippyTapping Thu 27-Sept-18 13:32:34

Bubble bath, candles, soft music do it for me
But what makes it perfect is a large G&T!

marieingham Thu 27-Sept-18 13:50:06

To unwind I get comfortable with my laptop on my knee and enter some competitions, cup of tea by my side and just forget about the stressful day I've had

IamaWallis2 Thu 27-Sept-18 14:09:30

like many others, soak in hot bath, essential oils, candle, or feet up to focus the mind on a good read, or sit in the sun, or get dirty with gardening. feel the un-wind happen.

max24 Thu 27-Sept-18 14:53:13

Feet up and a good book to read
