So many, it's hard to chose! Staying with my Gran in the summer with my cousins, whose house was right on the beach. running down the prom and jumping onto the sands below. There was always a little pool when the tide went out that we used like our own little swimming pool. Happy days.

Cycling through the woods with my friends, climbing trees and eating my Jam sandwich lunch and going home tired dirty and happy (and mum knowing I would be home for dinner safe and sound when I got hungry). Bliss!!

I was always digging in the garden when I was very young and apparently I buried one of my parents silver spoons, it was never found.

My favourite was climbing trees. Mum always dressed my sister and I in pretty dresses and we were always getting in trouble for tearing them. Really encourage the granchildren to climb. I',m allowed too!!!

Riding my bike all over our town with my sisters and friends. We would be in the park for lunch time for our sandwiches and a drink, play in the park and then home for tea. I really missed summer holidays when I started working.

My favourite activity was running around in the fields behind my house with my friends. We loved playing in the stream and playing chase over the pipe. It was a very large area of farmland so there were horses to stroke and tons of wildlife to see. It was idyllic and every day there was so much laughter. My friends and I were very fortunate to live there!
