School runs, lost shoes (not mine), car littered with crisp packets and crumbs, lunch boxes, after school activities and chatting to other parents/grandparents in the playground. Sharing with my grandchildren all the games I played as a child: jacks, pick up sticks, french knitting. All these things make me feel 30 years younger.

All sorts of things - playing with the grandchildren in the park; my 95 year old mother introducing me as her little girl; my grandson telling me that i'll be able to do 'stand up wees' when I get bigger; listening to music from the 60s; going to concerts ... riding my bike ... the list goes on.

Spending time with my grandchildren, watching their excitement learning new things, seeing how they enjoy even the simplest of things like blowing bubbles. They definitely are keeping me feeling young especially when I get invited to join in with their 'pretend' games

Getting together with my oldest school friends, it sometimes feels that we are still 16 again without all the angst.

Reminiscing with my friends & family in my mother tongue via Skype (they all leave abroad) about our childhood pranks & remembering good old times. Watching young leaves unfurl in spring makes me feel younger & more energetic. In summer, running barefoot on the grass in the wild meadow & chasing grasshoppers takes me back to my early childhood. Late evenings, just before going to bed, looking up at the stars in the garden reminds me of the days gone by, when I went night fishing with my late aunt & cousin. Everyone in my family was still alive then & two wars, heartbreak of leaving everything but the Cat behind, being a refugee in your own country, and then emigrating abroad were still in the future. The past is always there, within reach: all you need is a phone call, a letter, a sight, a smell, a song - and you are back to a younger, innocent, hopeful version of your self.
