I try to have different groups of friends. Where possible try have young people in the group and ensure that meet-ups include topics to suit them.

Certain songs on the radio make me feel young again. They seem to trigger a far flung memory of a particular happy time and I smile to myself. The film Grease is one that makes me remember singing into a hairbrush and gyrating round my bedroom like crazy. You're the one that I want...... Hopelessly devoted to you..... Summer nights......Greased lightnin'......... Awesome. Awwwwwwwww!

Trying to not think too much about age and that it's just a number.

My grandkids. Love all the stuff you can do, messy play where you get to paint, play with rice, cornflakes. Baby sensory where you can sing and play with your little ones

Paddling in the sea and making sandcastles with the children . Laughing and eating ice creams. Telling stories about fairies and magic and still believing them myself . .. all of these things make me feel young x

Being with my teenage grandchildren. We enjoy each other’s company and do lots of things together, shopping, eating out and visits to the cinema

Entering competitions with a kettle and a toaster as a prize makes me feel ancient!
Come on Grans demand more. How about a motor bike or a trip to Nepal?

Being a geriatric mother makes me feel young. Plus getting involved in lots of my sons activities and clubs keeps me around young people
