Listening to music: old favourites and seeking out new artists, going to gigs and music festivals. There's not cut off age for any of that so I'll continue for as long as I can!

When something makes me laugh so much I get the giggles and can’t speak for giggles erupting.
I miss my friend Jane so much, we always collapsed laughing when she visited and the same odd words would start us off every time.

It's music for me too. All the songs I don't remember but as soon as I hear them on the radio or a playlist take me straight back. There I am in my bedroom listening to the top 20 and hoping the DJ will play the songs I like and not skip over them. I've just remembered that I used to write down the top 20 every week in my notebook, did anyone else do that?

music, even if it is from my youth also playing with 5 year old grandson

I still feel young ...maybe because I just can’t say the other word ...o...ol....ol.. nope can’t say it ..so I won’t bother even thinking it...I dance around to my iPhone music when cleaning and keep mind and body active.

What makes me really happy is watching my crazy 5 year old black cat Ollie running round the garden like a duck and then running up the willow tree. Wish he would stay home more but he is a wanderer

Just being able to still do the things I like - e.g. gardening, going to the theatre, etc. I expect the day will come when I can no longer do these - hope it's not for a long time yet!

Going for a brisk walk in the woods with our Labrador and grandchildren. It takes me back to when my Grandparents did the same with me.

Spending time with my grandchildren. My granddaughters aged 19 and 16 keep me up to date with music and fashion. My grandsons 9 and 6 make me smile and remind me life is good. In their own way they all make me feel much younger than my 72 years.

Fantasising about that lovely Rick Edwards on Impossible on BBC1 as he's such a handsome, well put together sort of chap - big and hunky. My romantic feelings are largely dead and buried along with my dear husband who I miss every day. When he died a large part of me died too but I muddle along.

What makes me feel young again? I genuinely believe that age is just a state of mind. And, at 75, I can honestly say that I’ve never felt old. Ill or infirm at times, yes; but that can apply at any age. Overall though, I believe in maintaining a positive frame of mind. That and the company of family and friends, keeping active and involved in hobbies, learning, volunteering, open to new experiences and, of course, lots of laughter - especially the giggly kind that grandchildren provide grin

jeanniev1 Thu 12-Sept-19 14:17:06

Being with my neighbours (all much younger than me) and my children and grandchildren who don't see age as a barrier to doing anything. My latest escapade at 71 has been a high rope assault course and flying down a zip wire. My brain is already fizzing at what we can do next.

Just having a young, can do attitude to life I feel really helps.
If you feel positive about life and whats in store for you each day, you have a better day than if you feel down.
"Fake it till you make it" as someone once said, but I cant remember who.
