I would love to take them to the small town in Ireland where my father was born.He died in 1989 so none of my Grandchildren ever met him. However I do still have many family members over there as he was the youngest of 17 ! Part of my heart is there and I would love to share it with them.

Over the sea to Skye, well, ok, over the bridge then. Very friendly place with beautiful scenery. As they are interested in history, this is a great location.

I would take my grandchildren to lapland to meet Father Christmas whilst they're still young enough to believe in him. It would be magical

GraBB Wed 09-Oct-19 13:06:43

As they are all quite young, I would like to take them glamping in Yorkshire. The adventure of camping but with all the creature comforts.

I'd take my great
-grandson, aged nine, and his Mum to see, and go inside, the great Pyramid at Giza. He loves ancient history, and has a collection of Playmobile Egyption figures. He's saving up for the "pyramid" not knowing I'm going to buy it for him at Christmas.
I've climbed the staircase to the middle of the Great Pyramid, gone inside others, and am fascinated by the whole civilisation.

The New Forest in Hampshire. Take them back to nature. Wonderful landscapes & animals roaming free.

jaybee66 Wed 09-Oct-19 13:47:31

To the Galapagos Islands as there is no other place on earth like it. I was amazed by all the wildlife so I am sure that they will be too. Also it is an experience that they will never forget.

I would love to be able to take my granddaughter anywhere - unfortunately I've not seen her since she was born sad

Back in time, where things seem easier less stressful and more natural. Trip to DisneyLand how it used to be with a ride on 'It's a Wonderful World and the joy of seeing love, amazement and pure wonder in their face. Also trip back to New Zealand and the Pacific Islands for a trip to see pristine waters, wildlife and natural wonders. These place can also be found of course in Asia, Africa, even wonders of the Middle East, but it would also give me a chance to go back to the time that home used to be relaxing, amazing and real

I think I'd take them to LEGOLAND in Denmark, something really magical for them that they could remember for a long time.

grandMattie Wed 09-Oct-19 14:10:09

I would take them "home" to Mauritius where I was born and brought up - we might even see a stuffed dodo!

tiggers Wed 09-Oct-19 14:11:22

I would take them to my childhood home (would that it still existed) to meet my beloved late parents - their great-grandparents - who would be so delighted to see them and would love them just as much as I do.

As that choice is pure fantasy - a real fantasy world would be a better choice - Disneyland of course.

I would take my grandchildren to Australia to visit their Auntie and her very new baby. They can see her and talk to her on WhatsApp but it would be great for them to visit the place they have seen on the map and to see the Harbour Bridge and Opera House which they have seen pictures of. Obviously my six year old would appreciate this more than my 10 month old grandchild - but he would still be very happy as he usually smiles and laughs at most things anyway.

Our granddaughters are age 8 and 5 years of age. I would take them to Disney in Florida. It is magical at this age, everything is larger than life, the parades, the rides, the whole Magic kingdom thing. Also Epcot, the water world, so much to see. I speak from memory, of a time when their Dad was their age, and we were fortunate enough to go as a family.

jillyJo Wed 09-Oct-19 14:26:59

Gibraltar! I would take them to the top of the Rock on the cable car - and introduce them to the cheeky Rock apes!

helen55 Wed 09-Oct-19 14:30:13

I would take them camping to the South of France. That's where a lot of my daughters'memories were made in the fantastic May of 1999.

Ranworth1 Wed 09-Oct-19 14:35:25

I would take them on a Devon Sea Safari trip to see the beautiful dolphins.

inishowen Wed 09-Oct-19 14:48:05

I'd like to take them to the new Centre Parks in Ireland. It looks great with lots of activities. No cars allowed so its walking or cycling.

Scapa1 Wed 09-Oct-19 14:59:51

I would love to take them to Lapland

Morgie52 Wed 09-Oct-19 15:11:53

I would take them to Disneyland in Florida. We took our eldest granddaughter when she was 3 and she loved it. Since then we have three more grandchildren and we would love to take them all.

Magrithea Wed 09-Oct-19 15:14:29

I would take them (and their parents) to Hong Kong, where their Mum was born and grew up so they can see the unique East meets West fusion that is the City that never Sleeps
