I would take them to the Caribbean, on a fantastic cruise, where they could visit many different lifestyles and there would be something for every one to enjoy while traveling.

I'd take them to all the places their parents loved when they were children - the Sunday afternoon favourites. Then I'd take them to all the places I loved as a child and talk about what's stayed the same and what has changed.

UK, stay here because I have never flown and am apprehensive. Granddaughter says there is lots to do in this country and she would like to visit Wales where I was born and Devon where I was brought up.

I'd take my grandchildren to Cornwall by plane. They have never flown and for them to see a large sandy beach would be magical.

I'd love to take them to Scotland to see the fishermen's paths along the river Tweed that I used to explore when I was little. Living in Kent they think Scotland is a foreign country!

I would take them to the Bay of Islands, New Zealand. It's so beautiful and steeped in history, too.

It may sound trite, but Disneyland would be the ultimate. Seeing their faces would be priceless.

I would take my granddaughters to Cornwall, when I was a child we had the most wonderful family holidays there. We'd play on the beach and in the surf and when the tide was out we'd look at the rock pools. My parents never had much money, but they'd save all year to give us children a holiday we'd remember.

VIVIY Fri 18-Oct-19 13:24:16

I would take them to the Grand Canyon to experience the beauty and awe of the wonder of nature...going down to the bottom to take a trip on the river.
