I would take them to my childhood home (would that it still existed) to meet my beloved late parents - their great-grandparents - who would be so delighted to see them and would love them just as much as I do.

As that choice is pure fantasy - a real fantasy world would be a better choice - Disneyland of course.

I would take them "home" to Mauritius where I was born and brought up - we might even see a stuffed dodo!

I think I'd take them to LEGOLAND in Denmark, something really magical for them that they could remember for a long time.

Back in time, where things seem easier less stressful and more natural. Trip to DisneyLand how it used to be with a ride on 'It's a Wonderful World and the joy of seeing love, amazement and pure wonder in their face. Also trip back to New Zealand and the Pacific Islands for a trip to see pristine waters, wildlife and natural wonders. These place can also be found of course in Asia, Africa, even wonders of the Middle East, but it would also give me a chance to go back to the time that home used to be relaxing, amazing and real

I would love to be able to take my granddaughter anywhere - unfortunately I've not seen her since she was born sad

To the Galapagos Islands as there is no other place on earth like it. I was amazed by all the wildlife so I am sure that they will be too. Also it is an experience that they will never forget.

The New Forest in Hampshire. Take them back to nature. Wonderful landscapes & animals roaming free.

I'd take my great
-grandson, aged nine, and his Mum to see, and go inside, the great Pyramid at Giza. He loves ancient history, and has a collection of Playmobile Egyption figures. He's saving up for the "pyramid" not knowing I'm going to buy it for him at Christmas.
I've climbed the staircase to the middle of the Great Pyramid, gone inside others, and am fascinated by the whole civilisation.

Over the sea to Skye, well, ok, over the bridge then. Very friendly place with beautiful scenery. As they are interested in history, this is a great location.

I would love to take them to the small town in Ireland where my father was born.He died in 1989 so none of my Grandchildren ever met him. However I do still have many family members over there as he was the youngest of 17 ! Part of my heart is there and I would love to share it with them.

Hudz2012 Wed 09-Oct-19 11:58:43

I have four grandchildren 8,7 and 2 under 2 so for me it would the Disney resorts in Florida. They all love the characters and it would be amazing to see their faces light up when they get to meet them. And then explore the various theme parks.

I would take them to visit Yellowstone Park in America. The wildlife and scenery are spectacular.

Dianic Wed 09-Oct-19 11:52:59

I'd take him to Suffolk so he could spend time in the fields, running free with our dogs, go to the beaches with me and cook outdoors with Pop-pops. We'd all be together, which is rare, and in lovely surroundings.

elainehale Wed 09-Oct-19 11:50:31

Love to take them on a safari to Africa. Grandson loves Andy’s amazing adventures.
Making a dressing up outfit for Christmas

I would like to have all the grandchildren in one country - 2 in uk and 3 in NZ. I would take the 2 in uk over to NZ and show them all the fantastic places over there and lots of time to play with their cousins. The 3 NZ ones ( hopefully coming here in July) I would take to Chester zoo for a day out with English cousins and then plenty of time with other relations especially their great grandma . Unfortunately my mil died in July before she could meet her latest great grandson .

jojochurchy Wed 09-Oct-19 11:43:36

I would take my grandchildren to Berlin, where we lived when their mother was born, and show them around this lovely city.

GrannyHaggis Wed 09-Oct-19 11:34:46

Easter Island! Every year we take GS away and he's always wanted to go to Easter Island. Sadly the cost is beyond us......but we live in hope that one day he/we'll make it!

grandmaz Wed 09-Oct-19 11:27:37

What a lovely thought! Actually I'd take my grandchildren to the most remote island I could find - it would be beautiful surrounded by azure seas and with a wonderful climate. There would be so much wildlife and so many flowers and trees that they would learn how beautiful living can be without all the distractions of technology. There would be a phone for emergencies, of course, but otherwise life would be lived face to face and in the moment! Just for a while

HHBBNN54 Wed 09-Oct-19 11:19:57

To the seaside on a nice day to play with sand and water somewhere down south
