It's that time of year again...

If you are stuck for gift ideas for family/friends, look no further than our round-up of the best books for Christmas. From psychological thrillers to women's fiction, autobiographies to cookbooks (and everything in between), there really is something for everyone.

And, as ever, we are giving one lucky person the chance to win everything featured on the page...worth over £800. All you have to do is tell us, on this thread, who you'd most like to find under your tree this Christmas (and why).

We will be drawing a winner at random at midday on Monday 16 December. Terms and conditions apply - more details on the page.

I would like to find Billy Connolly under my tree. He is still a fabulous personality with a really sexy voice. Lately he has coped very well and been honest about his medical struggles. He could tell us all sorts of stories about his amazing life. I can’t imagine a dull moment if he appeared!

I would love to have one more Christmas with my mum. Although she died a few years ago, the last 16 or so years of her life she had dementia and didn't know me for the last 7/8 years. How lovely to have her back when she was her lovely self!

I'd love to find a dear university friend who passed away rather suddenly five years ago. I'd love her to see her godchildren grown up.

My Nan. Tough old battle axe and as stubborn as a mule. In hindsight, I can see now how a generation like her won a world war. Didn't appreciate her as much as I should have when I was younger, and would love to be able to tell her so.

I think that I would like to find Charlie Mackesy. I think that he understands the things in life that matter. Love, peace and family. He could also do a few sketches while he was here!

I would like to find my late father under the tree this christmas. He would get to see his grandchildren that are now adults in their own right and his great grandchildren that are growing fast. To see him one more time at the heart of the family one more time would be brilliant.

I'd love to find Tim Rice. Perhaps we could write a best-selling Christmas song together
