I love the Cat in the Hat, or anything by Dr Seuss because it’s timeless, colourful and fun and lets the imagination run free - it reminds me of my childhood!

Our favourite story to read to our sons was ‘Chicken Licken’, it was hopeless at getting them to go to sleep they just giggled and giggled so much so we couldn’t even get the words out ourselves sometimes for laughing. Will be a must read to our grandchildren as soon as we can. Will be good to see if all that laughter repeats itself.

The Cat in the Hat. I learnt to read with Dr Seuss books, in turn my children learnt to read the same books ...and now my grandchildren are reading and enjoying the funny words in them. They are full of made up words, but they teach you how to put letters together and make a new word. Fabulous fun!
