My grandson Jacob loves every thing Thomas the Tank so we read one of Thomas's many adventures each night but usually end up reading Thomas and Berties race. This is Jacobs favourite because he likes to race with his friends so he can relate to it. It is mine because it is one I remember reading to his daddy as a youngster.

Stickman is our favourite book at the moment. We read this book over and over again following the many trials and tribulations of Stickman as he tries to make his way back home to his family.

Roald Dahl’s Opposites as my little grandchildren love it - especially the enormous crocodile!

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory ,was a favourite of mine growing up ,and they love it as much as I did.

Red Riding Hood. It has their attention, just like it did me when I was a little girl.

Percy the Park Keeper because it's a lovely story and beautifully illustrated.

The Gruffalo because it's a great book

The Tiger Who came to Tea is a family favourite. I used to read it to my grandchildren and now my great grandson loves it too. It is a true classic and I am sure will be enjoyed by generations to come

The BFG, my grandchildren love Roald Dahl

I love to read the Winnie the Witch books to my grandchildren and cannot wait to see them again and have cuddles and reading time. They would love this prize :-)

I don't have children or grand children but love reading Topsy and Tim to my niece.

My granddaughter LOVES-We're going on a bear hunt and Guess how much I love you. Mila-Rose is only 2 years old,but these are the two books she chooses for her bedtime stories,she loves her books.

Carrie's War by Nina Bawden - such a beautiful story with lessons of consequences. Makes you think.
