Gerald's Game by Stephen King because it takes you into a scary world and your imagination runs wild with the situation the character is left in No wonder the film couldn't get anywhere close to this outstanding read

I love any thriller with a good plot. My favourite writer is probably Ian Rankin but I love Ruth Rendell and lots of the Scandi writers too. My all time favourites are the Stieg Larsson Millenium books, especially The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

I love reading Stuart Macbride murder mysteries. Based in Scotland they have a tongue in cheek humour that reminds me of books by Chris Brookmyre.

It would have to be Patricia Cornwell and her crime books about Kay Scarpetta. I have really enjoyed reading her books from the beginning and seeing how Kay's career developed including the ups and downs. I looked forward to each new book in the series.

I like thrillers but I dont know if I have a fab author. I think I really enjoy reading Nordic noir thrillers thou.

I love thrillers and there are so many great ones out there, but recently I loved Clare Mackintosh's Let Me Lie. I love the plots and trying to work out what is going to happen next. Not good for bedtime reading as sometimes I can't put a thriller down, better left for daytime!

I love books by Ann Cleeves. The television series Vera is based on these books and they are a great read. The mixture of mystery and well observed family relationships make them absorbing and real. She has been awarded the CWA Diamond Dagger and has a series of books all eminently readable and all make me feel like I’ve lost a friend when I finish them.
