He waits.

He takes.

My favourite thriller lately has been They all fall down, by Tammy Cohen.

I really, really loved this. There were so many twists and turns and a couple of surprises that I really didn’t see coming. As someone who reads a lot of domestic thrillers, I was delighted by this, as I usually predict what’s going to happen.

Any James Patterson are good for me

Mine is The Silent Patient by Jasper DeWitt, which I hear is being turned into a film! I love thrillers because I love stories with twists in that keep you guessing until the very end. It's quite addictive! The Silent Patient has one of the best twists I think I have ever read. Fantastic!

I've been reading crime/thriller books for the last 30 odd years so it's really hard to pick a favourite. I love the Agatha Raisin books when I'm in the mood for an easy read but also authors like Lee Child and John Grisham when I want something to really get my teeth into.

I love the twists and turns that keep you turning the page and not want to put a book down.
As for my favourite I think I will go for Before I Go To Sleep by S J Watson as I have read it quite recently in one go and I did not guess the ending!

My favourite is Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins. What I love about reading thrillers is guessing the twist.

Awesomegranny Wed 12-May-21 11:07:33

I love reading all sort currently reading another Adele Parks books Lies Lies Lies. The twists and turns in Adele’s books keep you hooked till the last page.

minilynn3 Wed 12-May-21 11:45:35

The Thursday Murder Club by Richard Osman is a great read and fun too!

Jen8 Wed 12-May-21 11:47:35

I love reading thrillers, and echo a lot of the suggestions already posted. I enjoyed Girl on a Train recently. It didn't turn out at all how I thought it would at the start, I do like twists and turns in the plot.

cathyd Wed 12-May-21 12:04:19

My favourite author is Agatha Christie but I enjoy several authors of murder/mystery books. The ABC Murders is my favourite Christie story. Trying to figure out whodunnit is why I read this genre of book

galadrial Wed 12-May-21 13:14:52

My favourite crime/thriller book is Faye Kellerman's The Ritual Bath. I enjoy reading thrillers as they have twists and turns, they are unpredictable and exciting to read.

Murder on the Orient Express by good old Agatha Christie …you just can’t beat it
Love a great thriller cos I literally can’t put them down !!!

Difficult to choose a favourite but Robert Ludlum's Bourne series is a good contender as is anything by Dean Koontz. I enjoy reading thrillers because of the cat and mouse element in so many of them and the resourcefulness and multiple points of view of the characters as well as the unforseen plot twists and turns

frannylee Wed 12-May-21 14:54:02

I enjoy reading Lucy Foley books. I preferred The Guest List to the Hunting Party, which was a bit more predictable.

Candelle Wed 12-May-21 15:00:01

John Grisham for a book to keep on reading way after the light should have gone out!

John Grisham's speciality of American courts and its legal system ensures that he can give credence to his characters, incorporating many twists and turns. I particularly enjoyed 'Rogue Lawyer'.

Any John Grisham book, just one more page or should that be one more chapter....?

jessfisher Wed 12-May-21 15:04:00

Gosh, so much to choice from, love anything by Karin Slaughter and Ian Rankin

fion7 Wed 12-May-21 15:14:24

I have always loved Minette Walters, her characters are always sinister but well developed, her books are easy to follow and as I sometimes I go months between reading bouts, (youngest son has severe learning difficulties), it's easy to get straight back into them.

oksana3 Wed 12-May-21 16:05:48

Jodi Picoult is my all time favourite

Kazzaw31 Wed 12-May-21 16:07:14

the firm , was 1 i bought when i went on holiday, book and movie was the same, very gripping

Missyalexhill Wed 12-May-21 16:52:19

I loved the sanatorium last year by Sarah Pearce. I love crime because it's escapism. Nothing like the horror (touch wood) happens in my life so I like being scared, following the twists and turns.

nabob Wed 12-May-21 16:59:15

I love The Bone Collector by Jeffrey Deaver. I love the suspense and tension of the plots of thrillers and its always nice to try to guess the outcomes.
