So if the over 70s are going into self isolation who will be joining us?

At the top we have the Queen, Charles, Camilla and Anne.
Andrew will still be able to go out and about.

Then we have celebrity royalty, Dames Maggie Smith and Judi Dench.

Who else will be locked up with us?

No Americans, this is a UK initiative. We will be entertained by the Rolling Stones of course. Then Shakin' Stevens fans will be happy that he'll be joining us.

If Americans were included I'd be dragging Richard Gere in the door but sadly no.

I have self isolated for 2 weeks now and I wouldn't mind Billy Connelly and Bob Mortimar to join me to keep my spirits up.

Paul Holywood and Prue Leith to cook my dinner.

Andrew Neil and Micheal Portillo to talk politics with.

And anybody who enjoys sitting down sharing a glass or two, can play scrabble, dominoes, crib and likes a good old chin wag.

What about KenBarlow out of Corrie still a good looking man we could have judge Judy to keep us all in line she’s 70 something

cavewoman Sun 15-Mar-20 15:06:49

I'm joining you POGS
I love a game of crib but sadly not many play these days.
The glass or two won't go amiss either!

BlueBelle Sun 15-Mar-20 15:06:49

Paul Hollywoods about early 50s I think pogs I don’t think you d have pleased him too much thinking he’s ove4 70 ???

Chestnut Sun 15-Mar-20 15:08:07

Michael Portillo is too young, you'll have to have Paxman instead. Paul Hollywood too young, what about Rick Stein?

Chestnut Sun 15-Mar-20 15:43:55

I say, we have a fantastic line-up of over 70s on the stage, Rolling Stones, Tom Jones, The Who, Pink Floyd, Peter Gabriel, Paul McCartney. No shortage of music.

POGS Sun 15-Mar-20 16:28:21

cavewoman.

Sadly the old pub games like crib and dominoes have indeed become old fashioned.

I think games like pool became more popular but now I just feel youngsters don't really bother with social games as we once did. Social media pah.

Perhaps that's a Working Men's Club/Pub mind set I hold and I am an Old Fuddy Duddy. ?

POGS Sun 15-Mar-20 16:31:13

Blue Belle

I only want him to cook me dinner and flash his blue eyes occasionally. ?

POGS Sun 15-Mar-20 16:32:40

Chestnut

Paxman, dear lord know I would stop self isolating if I was stuck in a house with him. ?

Yiayia4 Sun 15-Mar-20 16:36:39

The great Eric Clapton, I'd be happy for weeks, but I'm only 68 would I be allowed in?

NotAGran55 Sun 15-Mar-20 16:36:48

Eric Clapton is mine .

Yiayia4 Sun 15-Mar-20 17:09:16

You have to share NotAGran?

NotAGran55 Sun 15-Mar-20 18:15:58

Lol YiaYia4 you beat me by 9 seconds smile Happy to take alternate days as long as it’s just us 2 .

Chestnut Sun 15-Mar-20 18:21:14

Janet Street-Porter will be joining us. She'll have plenty to say no doubt.

Chestnut Sun 15-Mar-20 18:24:49

NotAGran55 will have Clapton all to herself. Government policy is over 70 only so Yiayia4 cannot have entry, sorry.
Just a minute, how old are you NotAGran55? Your name is very suspicious.

NotAGran55 Sun 15-Mar-20 19:35:49

Chestnut I’m 64 but would happily hole up with him smile

brown Sun 15-Mar-20 19:36:37

Billy Connolly for everything

Anniebach Sun 15-Mar-20 20:59:13

John Humphrys please, I miss him

Yiayia4 Sun 15-Mar-20 21:24:24

I bet Eric likes younger girls?

Chestnut Sun 15-Mar-20 23:29:15

I'm afraid I won't be self isolating if Billy Connolly is there, I would go crazy.

I'll bring in Malcolm McDowell as he's fascinating (Clockwork Orange).
