I hate to say it but some are too thick to understand. I also feel like bowing out ofr a few months or I may say something I may regret.

Not only on GN. Today I have seen just 2 individual young folk out n about. However 4 ladies, 70+, stood in a cosy huddle for ten minutes enjoying a gossip.

Annoying isn't it? I have been in my flat now since Monday, only going for a walk each day early. Only saw one other person and kept my distance today as most days.

BTW cancelled my hair appointment on Tuesday.

I am still seeing people going out for the day, some of them in groups and it is so frustrating as it is hard to be in on my own but they just do as they like with the "I'm alright Jack" attitude.

Hithere, it won't be long before we'll all know somebody who has it.

Are people deluded to the extent that they have no fear of Coronavirus?

Do they think that an ICU bed, resources and respirator (along with the necessary doctors and nurses) are just waiting to 'save' them if necessary?

Or do they just have a death wish?

Hithere Sat 21-Mar-20 15:21:55

Nope unless they get sick themselves or a dear person to them passes away

Is there any chance that shouting WAKE UP will have any effect?

The behaviours some posters criticized as irresponsible in China and other countries are repeated by those same posters over and over again.

Eglantine21

Ditto.
A couple of weeks ago, the people who said this is going to get bad were dismissed or ridiculed, how this is not going to get as bad as China, etc

Here we are.

The behaviours some posters criticized as irresponsible are repeated by those same posters over and over again.
Yet, now are valid because it is them and life is soooooooo hard.

I am setting up virtual playdates for my kids and virtual coffee dates with my friends, whom I haven't seen in a month already to stop the spreading.
So don't come to me with ..... it is so hard! What else can they do to cope!

Saw my baby grandson through the window of my car and blew kisses to him. That's it...

Spot on Eglantine21, I thoroughly agree. They don't seem to understand the danger. It's time for total lockdown!

It’s called the human condition eglatine

People act like they do for all sorts of reasons, and what will only stop some people will be law enforcement, even then some will still break the rules.

Now we have the request to stop panic buying. Well good luck with that.

I’m just st going to vent and then I’m disappearing for a bit, maybe for ever.

I cannot believe the posts I am reading and I despair of our generation.

The entire country is in lockdown to protect us. The older generation. We are the vulnerable.

We’ve been told to distance ourselves so that the health system isn’t overwhelmed. So that those who are out there keeping things going can get treatment if they need it.

What do I read!

I’m just going to the hairdresser.
I can’t resist shopping
I only meeting with the family for an hour or two
We all get together to have a walk

In other words, I’ll do what I want and I don’t care about anyone else.
