Dear god.

vampirequeen Sat 21-Mar-20 20:21:36

I'd say they're pretty essential to the women who want/need abortions.

SueDonim Sat 21-Mar-20 20:24:30

Wow, talk about weaponising women’s health! angry

EllanVannin Sat 21-Mar-20 20:33:55

I only believe in abortions if it's a matter of life and death to the mother, or/and both. In such a medical emergency it would be carried out.
It's not known if this is a form of birth control ?

Caro1962 Sat 21-Mar-20 20:39:28

Im sure everyone is really scared about wots going to happen. I know we all have to try and stay strong but its so hard i really miss not seeing my grandchildren it breaks my heart

Jane10 Sat 21-Mar-20 20:44:41

OMG those poor women. Just hope they don't resort to dangerous DIY practices or back street 'clinics'.

trisher Sat 21-Mar-20 20:47:42

Reading the article there is a significant movement against abortion in Ohio. It's very worrying

SueDonim Sat 21-Mar-20 20:49:23

That’s your belief, Ellenvannin. Other have different beliefs and should be allowed to exercise them.

EllanVannin Sat 21-Mar-20 20:49:48

I'm against abortion.

rosecarmel Sat 21-Mar-20 20:51:31

Partners are spending much more time together as a result of shuttering business and isolation- Add prohibition to that- You get a mini-baby-boom-

Life is strange-

EllanVannin Sat 21-Mar-20 20:51:59

People can please themselves, SueDonim, I'm not arguing. It was you who needlessly remarked after I gave my view.

Jane10 Sat 21-Mar-20 20:54:44

We get the message EllanVannin. Life isn't so black and white for everyone though. Abortion is always a serious and sad business nevertheless it should be available.

SueDonim Sat 21-Mar-20 20:56:59

No, you were judging, Ellenvannin with your remark about birth control.

Anniebach Sat 21-Mar-20 20:57:29

I think it is too available

Framilode Sat 21-Mar-20 21:03:51

In my view it should only be a last resort and not used as a form of contraception. I know of several women that have had two or more abortions. I also think the time limit for abortions should be brought down.

Anniebach Sat 21-Mar-20 21:06:41

There was criticism on a thread about Johnson’ s affair leading to an abortion

EllanVannin Sat 21-Mar-20 21:10:49

Agreed Framilode. 7/8 weeks not 20.

EllanVannin Sat 21-Mar-20 21:14:22

Call it judging if you so wish, SueDonim, I worked in a gynae clinic so know.

Galaxy Sat 21-Mar-20 21:35:15

That wouldn't allow for testing for life limiting conditions Ellan.

I am also anti abortion. So I would never have one. I don't have the right to make that choice for others though. Their body. Their choice.

If abortion isn't available for a woman that wants it, it will cost a LOT more in the long run, if she's forced to have the baby.

Most abortions these days are chemical. Take a couple of pills and abort at home over a couple of days UNLESS unlucky enough to have complications. Not a lot of cost involved there.

paddyanne Sat 21-Mar-20 22:03:35

I dont think anyone LIKES abortions but we do realise its necessary to have them available .It would destroy whole families in some cases if mothers were forced to carry and give birth to babies that ..for whatever reason..they felt they didn't want/couldn't cope with .Denying the right because of the pandemic is political ,nothing else

paddyanne Sat 21-Mar-20 22:05:01

I fyou worked in agynae clinic then you must knowthat 20 week terminations are a rare thing and for high risk medical reasons only

GagaJo Sat 21-Mar-20 22:09:31

Exactly paddyanne.

Jane10 Sat 21-Mar-20 22:11:27

Hear hear paddyanne
