Time for our Queen to speak?

I feel the same as Alexa. The Queen is 11 years older than me and I grew up watching her. I was named after her, my middle name is Elizabeth.
I thought last night's message was just what we need.

Clips have been shown several times in France. She is Queen to one in four people round the world, isn’t she?

I love the Queen with affection and a measure of trust . I have been accompanied by stories and pictures of Elizabeth ever since she and I were little girls about the same age as each other, so how could I not feel affection and respect for her?

Her speech was a national ritual . Rituals are necessary for a society to cohere.

Think this should have been done a bit earlier than yesterday however she did have the right words at the right time and I think people will be happy with that.

What amazed me was having an email from my Californian friend , turns out they ran it there at the same time as we saw it. ( let's hope DR doesn't do the same. )

Oh I feel so optimistic now. I know we will all cope so much better after that very emotional speech and promise of practical help from the RF.

I am a great admirer of the Queen and thought her address was just right.

I thought Her Majesty got that speech absolutely right. Just what we needed to hear. It felt like a very serious moment.

Now that the Queen is going to broadcast to the nation on Sunday night, I trust that the original question has been answered.

The Queen lives in Windsor Castle. it is her home. The MMs wanted an apartment there but were told politely, no. Buckingham Palace is for official functions and offices.
I do think Charles and Camilla should stay, but are they elderly and vulnerable?

Queen : Moves from London to Windsor (ok she is elderly)
Charles & Camilla : Moves London to Birkhall, Scotland
Cambridgeshire: Moves London to Anmer Hall, Norfolk.

One rule for them, one for the rest? Whatever happened to ' the children won't leave London without me, I won't leave without the King and the King will never leave London' spirit of the Queen Mother?

I have a list of "duties" that are not strictly within my job description but I am required to undertake them nonetheless if required.
