Yes, I thought newspapers were sterile; people used to deliver babies on them.

Just recently, there have been some very worrying posts from paranoid people suggesting that we might catch the virus from all sorts of surfaces.
One of these was a fear that it might be lurking on newspapers.
Well, here it is: a statement from those who know.
