My grandchildren and my children all seem to be doing this young man’s live workouts and loving it.
I have resisted as long as possible but did his Workout for Seniors a few minutes ago and he is really sweet. Doesn’t make you feel creaky at all!
Many of you will be doing the full Monty, but for those like me who are easily intimidated, I absolutely recommend him!

I’ve done the seniors workout and his seniors abs workout. Both are good. My grandchildren do the morning schools one, at school if they’re there (key worker parents) or at home when not at school.

Oh, actually it was Monday when I did my legs in, so it took two days to recover.

The days are all merging together now.

Maggiemaybe Wed 01-Apr-20 23:42:41

My aching legs and buttocks have now recovered and I can sit down and stand up without wincing. grin

I’ve really got into all the YouTube exercise videos over the past week, but I’m afraid Joe’s PE session was a step (and a hop, and a lunge) too far.

Maggiemaybe Wed 01-Apr-20 23:39:54

I did both yesterday, Callistemon.

I obviously don’t! grin

Callistemon Wed 01-Apr-20 23:33:23

Did you do the one for children, Maggiemaybe?

I know my limits

Callistemon Wed 01-Apr-20 23:32:40

kangaroo hops are you sure you do the one for seniors?

Even I managed it at my level of unfitness, no hopping or jumping required!

Lizbethann55 Wed 01-Apr-20 23:22:31

Will we need Tena Ladies??‍♀️???

Maggiemaybe Tue 31-Mar-20 13:15:47

Well, yesterday’s session taught me a valuable lesson, that my senior legs and lunging and kangaroo hops aren’t compatible. Yogalates for me today, till the aches and pains go away. grin

Callistemon Tue 31-Mar-20 13:14:46

I just did 5 minutes to start with!

then some Qigong later

Whitewavemark2 Tue 31-Mar-20 13:09:58

I did his seniors this morning - takes 10 minutes.

A bit of fun

There are various ones, I think nanou
The one for children is about 9 am but there are others, unless you want to hop round the sitting room like a bunny rabbit!

I think he is on YouTube

Hi all,
What time is his class in the morning and where? Sorry, just landing here....

Maggiemaybe Mon 30-Mar-20 16:53:49

I joined in with it this morning, just to feel the connection with the family, who always do it. I doubt I put in quite as much gusto as the young ones though! I did the one for seniors later. Now where’s that halo emoticon, GNHQ? grin

Callistemon Mon 30-Mar-20 16:36:46

The DGC have been doing it every morning before they start their schoolwork - and getting Mum and Dad to join in too!

Grannmarie Mon 30-Mar-20 16:20:12

Yes, I love the family photos on the shelves.

SueDonim Mon 30-Mar-20 16:16:15

I like how it appears to be happening in his sitting room. grin

felice Mon 30-Mar-20 16:00:36

I have been doing it here with DD and DGS, SIL came out of his office once when he was home, took one look, turned around and came down here to make his coffee.
We love it and he just seems so nice.

Lucca Mon 30-Mar-20 15:02:43

I also do the seniors one, but twice. I think he’s a gorgeous young man and he is donating every penny of this additional revenue to the NHS. One if the good guys.

Shelmiss Mon 30-Mar-20 14:58:28

I did his workout live for the first time this morning at 9am and it’s a killer if you’re unfit (as I am!!) but you don’t need to do much at all, even waving your arms about will be fine.

It made me feel really connected to approx 600,000 others who were apparently viewing his channel at the same time.

Just do what you can, no-one is watching (well apart from my two dogs who had to be banished to the hall as they kept licking my legs!).

I managed to persuade DH to do the other Joe Wicks for seniors workout. We’ve done it every day for the past week, I must have a look at this one.

Grannmarie Mon 30-Mar-20 14:51:57

march...oops, should've gone to Specsavers!

Grannmarie Mon 30-Mar-20 14:51:02

I've been doing the P.E. class every morning, if I can't do some of the floor exercises I just March on the spot!

I find it really good for the mood.

SueDonim Mon 30-Mar-20 13:25:19

We’ve just done the one for seniors, the standing up one, not the chair ones. Our cats came and sat in front of us with faces that said ‘What in god’s name are you two DOING?’ ??

cangran Mon 30-Mar-20 11:54:25

I’ve been doing the 10 minute workout for seniors almost every morning in the garden (in a spot I don’t think is overlooked so won’t frighten the neighbours) and find it, and the fresh air, just enough to make me feel good for the day and helps make up for lack of walking.
