Being fair, I don’t have anything more than the odd rogue hair, I just pluck it out.Dark haired ladies do have more of a problem, especially on the upper lip, which is why Nichola Sturgeon looks ‘moustachey’ because she is really naturally dark haired, the ginger hair is not her own, and actually really doesn't suit her skin tone.

SirChenjin, waft a lighter over the hair! It works a treat, honestly. Make sure your head hair is tied back. Once you've tried it, you'll be hooked, honestly!

LOL. Daisyboots. I also lost all my hair when on chemo, although my eyebrows and eyelashes didn't completely fall out.

I enjoyed the lack of pubic, leg and armpit hair. Not so much the lack of head hair, although I didn't like the wigs and went bald after a while.

After chemotherapy last year I lost every hair on my body. But guess which ones regrew first? Yes the ones on my chin and the side of my mouth. Some of them were half an inch long in days.

Good heaven ‘ladies’...pluck up! I use a handy little wand that you twist and roll over the hairy bits and ping put they come.

Talking about chin etc not legs.

I am wearing a mask when I go out, covers all the odd hairs growing where they shouldn't. I had a wax on my face just a day before they closed but they are just beginning to pop through. Hate doing it myself.

Sirchenjin I wouldn't recommend the NoNo as its expensive and certainly doesn't live up to its claims. Having spent loads on electroylis in the past I thought this may be the solution but it doesn't work well on fair/white hairs. My face is downy and although there is a slight burning smell, which is supposed to mean its working, the result is disappointing. I still have to pluck out hairs after use. I don't use it on my arms and occasionally shave my legs.

I started medication in December which promotes male pattern hair growth. My legs have become so hairy. My arm hair is thicker. My moustache and chin are, I think, obvious and I make a joke of going off for a shave. I just hope I dont get chest hair !!!

I’m enjoying everyone’s hairy chin stories. I’ve kept on top of them, but I have been attempting to grow out my eyebrows. Perfect time to give it a try although there are quite a few grey ones in the new growth. Can anyone recommend a dye for this?

A pair of proper hairdressing scissors was my only panic buy before lockdown.

I have a hair which grows out of my chin, which I pull out every couple of days, but I've never felt compelled to pay anybody to do anything to my eyebrows, face or legs. I must just be lucky.

Reminds me of a thread on here a few weeks ago about woolly mammoths .
I'm still plucking my facial hairs with tweezers.
And cutting my fringe with my best scissors.

Don't go to hairdressers regularly. Only once every two years to have about half of it hacked off, if l can be bothered to go, so it's flowing long at the moment.
And no, l don't care, never have. And l always keep it clean and shiny.
Just the roots showing every three weeks, so that's all l have to contend with. Luckily, l have a stash of hair dye from some time ago.

I don’t have a lighter - maybe matches would work. Or maybe I’ll just stick to tweezers.

My sister and I had threading while in Egypt. People were raving about it. Neither of us is very facially hairy, which might account for the pain and discomfort. Never again!

I have a Very Eternity Facial hair remover bought from Amazon only about £15 and does a good job

When we started 'keeping safe at home' my grey roots were about half an inch long and my hair shoulder length. I chopped the bulk away with the kitchen scissors, then took Mr P's hair clippers, set them at number four and shaved my head all over. Now after a couple of weeks I am very happy with my short, grey hair and lovely pure white streak in the fringe. Eyebrows now match hair colour and Mr P says my skin looks younger. As for facial hair, well it matches too!

Frankly, SueDonim, it stinks. BUT it's very effective. If I do the whole works on a Friday night, the redness from the top lip is gone by Monday for work.

Daughter uses the lighter for her top lip as well. But I can't manage that. The angle you need to get to avoid singed eyebrows is beyond my skillset. But I can do my chin/cheeks.

Currently, I look like a yeti. No shame.

Low maintenance lady here no need for salons! I've always and only plucked my own eyebrows, stray moustache and chin's hairs. No need to shave legs as I only have a few hairs which again I pluck, shave armpits and tidy up bikini line. Colour my own hair too, might go for trim twice a year. Do my own manicure. That's all!

Goodness, Gagajo! Doesn’t it smell a bit of singed hair when you do that?
